We had a great day yesterday. 87 students attended from across the greater Brisbane and Moreton Bay area. The weather was good but the winds created some issues earlier in the day keeping the fish at bay. As the tide and wind dropped off we started to see some nice fish and misses. During the day we got an additional treat with a whale playing in close to shore. Our winner on the day was Tristan James from Grace College. He fished really well but struggled until the kids that were wading got out the water or moved along the beach and the flathead moved back in. Many thanks to the teachers who came along and assisted us on the day as well as Mark and Meade from Redcliffe City Amateur Anglers who gave of their expertise tirelessly yesterday. Thanks must also go to our sponsors without whom we cannot run this event.; Fisheries Qld, Tackle Tactics and Gary Howard Fishing Products.
