🚨 BREAKING: Incident report reveals water contamination at Empire Energy exploratory fracking operation in Beetaloo Basin

Beetaloo Basin Traditional Owners say this is yet another example of fracking companies like Empire breaking the rules and causing damage to water and Country.

This is just one well - but fracking companies are likely to drill thousands of fracking wells across the NT if they are allowed to proceed. This spill shows the risk a full blown production-scale fracking industry poses to water and Country in the NT.

Just another reason why Minister Tanya Plibersek must URGENTLY apply the water trigger to fracking projects in the NT to protect precious water.

🚨AN URGENT MESSAGE FROM TERRITORIANS🚨

"We are under threat from gas expansion like never before, and we need your help.

Climate change is already wreaking havoc on the Territory, but the Middle Arm industrial hub could tip the Top End into unliveability, and introduce a range of toxic gas and petrochemical industrials linked to cancer and chronic illness to Darwin's doorstep.

The proposed Middle Arm development has been developed to make fracking in the Beetaloo basin viable - putting at Country and climate further at risk."

The Environment Centre NT has teamed up with the Australian Conservation Foundation and us at Beyond Gas Network to bring this urgent message down south in 2 weeks.

Join NT Traditional Owners, and community campaigners at two incredible events in Melbourne to learn more about how Federal funds are helping the gas industry wreck the Territory's future - and what we can do about it.
