Bookham Open Gardens Bookham residents and schools open their gardens for all to see, but NOT in 2025. We'll be back on Sunday 14th June 2026.

An annual event where proud gardeners of Bookham open their their patches large and small for all to see and be inspired by. BOOKHAM OPEN GARDENS 2026
Sunday 14th June - 10am to 5pm

This year we are featuring around 14 varied and attractive private gardens to share with you, including 4 which have never opened before. We welcome back 10 other gardens and also Fetcham Village Infants School who are opening for the first time. Our garden owners will give you a warm welcome and provide you with the opportunity to pick up ideas for your own garden, answer your questions or you can simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The gardens come in all shapes and sizes, from the formal to more laid-back planting, some with wildlife friendly planting and habitats, and some with quirky features.

Find out more about individual gardens in the programme which will be available at our ticket outlets or can be downloaded NOW at ww.bookhamopengardens.co.uk.

We will be serving our normal delicious home-baked cakes, rolls and drinks throughout the day at the Hall. The Village Day Booksale will also be there offering a selection of books in new or nearly new condition, including recent titles; also jigsaws. Plants should be available to buy at some of the gardens.

We've been busy distributing the fliers and posters to local businesses and shops. Many thanks to them for their help in this - most seem so willing to be involved in our lovely community event.

Let us know if you have a group who might be interested in seeing our publicity and we'll try to help you.

Whilst our tickets don't go on sale for a month, we hope to have our website up and running in the next week or two. It's taken a while to finalise our offering but I think we're now there.

As you start to get your gardens ready for the summer months, please remember that you can reduce the amount of single use plastic by following some simple tips . We believe recycling of non-black plant pots in council recycling schemes may be more widespread than Surrey as it's to do with national legislation, but haven't checked.
