Do go along next Thursday or Friday to look at all the garden areas within The Grange in Rectory Lane, not just the Walled Garden which has opened for us. Go in the visitors entrance at the southern end and meet in the Walled Garden.

They may not have opened for us this year but The Grange are showcasing their beautiful gardens at this two day event later this month. Not just the Walled Garden but also the Sensory Garden, assorted water features, Wildlife Garden, Rose Garden, wooden sculpture carvings, orchard etc. There's also an opportunity to have refreshments and and maybe buy some of their fresh produce, plants and Grange Made chutney's, jams and fudge. Hope to see you there. Diane and Steve from Open Gardens will be helping lead the tours.

The results are in - we sold around 580 tickets and raised just over £6800, which all goes towards the upkeep of the Old Barn Hall and is most welcome. Thank you so much to our visitors for coming, our army of volunteers, and we couldn’t do any of this without our wonderful garden openers who welcomed the visitors to their gardens. It’s really worth it when you get lovely comments!

See you again in June 2028!

Wow! What a brilliant day we had for Bookham Open Gardens 2026! The sun shone from the start, with lots of eager visitors champing at the bit at 10am. And what a treat lay in store - fifteen glorious gardens of all shapes, sizes and styles, carefully nurtured by their proud owners and bursting with colour, design, flair and individuality! We welcomed several 4 new gardens this year as well as the green-fingered youngsters at Fetcham Village Infants School, and the gardens were of a high standard. Unlike the famous shows these gardens are forever! So, a true community effort doing what Bookham and Fetcham does so well and raising lots of money for the upkeep of our much-loved Old Barn Hall. No totals yet but some gardens had around 540 visitors and the ‘Nectar Point’ at the Hall was doing a fabulous job of refuelling people with delicious cakes, rolls and drinks. Visitors to the Old Barn Hall could also browse and purchase books from the Village Day bookstall. This day doesn't happen by itself so huge thanks to everyone involved, from the garden openers to the hard-working team behind the scenes. Thanks too to The Vineries our sponsors and to our supporters, DB Designs, Patrick Gardner & Co, Rohallion Security and Surex Surfacing Ltd. A lot of effort but so worthwhile. We will be back in 2028!
