Our walk now completed in Cooma on a very chilly morning and I’m
so grateful to those people who showed up to walk with me. Although my walk was only a modest achievement, it has been overwhelmingly supported by the local community, my family and a wider network of people around Australia. I set out to raise $500 and these people have raised an outstanding amount currently sitting at $5677.00! Thank you.
My motivation to do this walk was to promote our Snowy Monaro Prostate Cancer Support Group, which is based around support for men and their families going through the cancer journey, and to promote the importance of early detection and the positive outcomes that are possible. You have supported me in getting this message out to the wider community and for this I’m inspired to go bigger and better next year.
A final request from me is to ask that you have a conversation with the men in your life about getting tested if they have concerns.

A great walk yesterday along the Bombala River track. A good reminder of how amazing it is and a fantastic asset for Bombala. Thanks again for supporting me in my walk to raise funds for prostate cancer research, currently the most common cancer in Australia. Any donation today will be matched by the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia’s main sponsor Tyrepower until midnight tonight.
I’m walking in Bombala again Friday morning, 7am at the river walk and will finish my 25 km in Cooma on Saturday, meeting at the park at 10am if anyone wants to join in.

I've just registered for the fundraiser for prostate cancer research. This is a great initiative and all support via registering to take part or donating is welcome and greatly appreciated. Information at the link below.
