Namaste and good evening everyone,

Respected MP, Councillors, community leaders, distinguished guests, parents, sisters and brothers, and our dear young generation.

It is my great pleasure and honour to be here today at this wonderful Teej Celebration organised by the Nepalese Blacktown Community. First of all, I would like to sincerely congratulate and thank the entire NBC team for bringing our community together and organising such a beautiful celebration of our culture and traditions.

I am also honoured to represent the Greater Sydney Nepali Multicultural Centre, GSNMC. Our shared vision is to build a permanent multicultural community centre in Greater Sydney—a place we proudly call our “Mini Nepal.”

Our dream is to create a lasting home for our community: a place where people of all generations and backgrounds can come together for cultural activities, youth programs, senior citizens’ activities, sports, education, meetings and celebrations.

We are working together with many community organisations and individuals to turn this shared dream into reality. With the continued support of our community, local organisations, respected Councillors, Mayors and all levels of government, I strongly believe we can build a wonderful legacy for our future generations.

Let us stay united, support one another, preserve our culture and work together for a stronger and brighter Nepali community in Australia.

Once again, thank you to the Nepalese Blacktown Community for organising this wonderful celebration.
