Fantastic friendly staff, fresh box with cakes, slices & scones to go, general store side is well stock, cold drinks, fruit & other general items, plenty of parking, toilet inside and also across the road at the Coalstoun Lakes hall.

EDITED: So far the CAP is holding strong which is inhibiting development of storms so far. (Capping Inversion Alternate term for Cap; a layer of relatively warm air aloft, usually several thousand feet above the ground, which suppresses or delays the development of thunderstorms. Air parcels rising into this layer become cooler than the surrounding air, which inhibits their ability to rise further and produce thunderstorms. As such, the cap often prevents or delays thunderstorm development even in the presence of extreme instability. However, if the cap is removed or weakened, then explosive thunderstorm development can occur.)
Good morning, just a heads up regarding severe storms forecast for today from about 12ish into tonight.
Quite significant instability through the area today, cloud burning off & heat index is rising adding to the instability. If you are within the darker blue & pink areas on the image you could see isolated severe storms with large hail & severe destructive winds also the possibility of a supercell forming. Storms are expected to form in the Darling Downs central & south west & move north easterly towards the coast. Storms have already started near Miles & Dalby. With the district already rain saturated there is potential for flash flooding to occur, please be aware when travelling.
