Last Thursday we had a great time helping out tidying up Demeio Park at the Berrinba Wetlands. As you can see from our picture there was plenty to gather from in and around the park. We would love to give a big shoutout to all of the people that turned up on the morning.

Itโ€™s about getting out into , having conversations and hearing directly from the people who live, work, play and care about our community.

You might see the Berrinba Friends Group team popping up at local events, activities and different places around Berrinba. These BIG Chats are a chance to share what you love about Berrinba, what could be better and what matters most to you and your family.

And sometimes, those conversations turn into action! ๐Ÿ’š

Coming up next is Berrinbaโ€™s BIG Chat โ€“ Clean Up Berrinbaโ€™s Wetlands. Come along, help give our wetlands some extra love, meet other locals and have a chat with us while youโ€™re there.

The Berrinba Friends Group has been listening to what locals are saying, and one thing came through loud and clear so far - the Berrinba Wetlands could use some extra love!

The Berrinba Friends Group is bringing the community together for a morning clean-up at Demeo Park, with a scavenger hunt for the kids, morning tea and plenty of time to connect with neighbours.

If you've been down to the wetlands over the last week you may have noticed quite a few of these visitors around.

The Magpie Geese are back and will be hanging around to raise their next generation. Soon there will be heaps of little baby goslings following mum around until they grow big enough to fly back north until next year.

If your coming down to Freshwater Park tomorrow for a chat and a sausage sizzle, keep your eye out for these little locals. You'll often find them in the smaller bushes and undergrowth around the pathways.

First up we have the Chestnut-breasted Munia.

Followed by the Red-backed Fairy Wren.

See you all soon :)
