Today 410 ACU proudly supported Legacy with their annual fundraising efforts in Berri, with stalls set up at Bunnings and the Riverland Central Plaza.
It was fantastic to connect with the community while supporting such an important cause. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, showed their support and contributed to Legacy’s ongoing work

Congratulations to CDT CPL Rathbone & CDT CPL Stuetzel for being selected to represent SA at the National Chief of Army Team Challenge.

Team SA placed second and were presented Gold awards. We are incredibly proud of your commitment to training, grit and determination!

A special mention to our Unit OC LT(AAC) Stuetzel who was team manager for the successful team.

Today we paid respects and said farewell to 102 year old Howard Hendrick.

Born in Renmark in 1923, he was a true gentleman and one of the last surviving WW2 Lancaster bomber pilots. He lived a life of service and would consistently share his remembered story to Riverland school and community groups. Enlisting at 17 years old, he completed 31 missions during the war. He remained generous with his time to Community and Country to the end. A true inspiration to old and young alike.

MP Tony Pasin visited the Riverland today to present certificates of appreciation to the many volunteers in our region.
LT Stuetzel had been nominated for his tireless devotion to 410ACU.
LT Stuetzel continually goes above and beyond to ensure that the cadets get the most out of their training and activities.

Tonight, we took a step back in time for a photo shoot to feature in the local newspaper, commemorating 51 years since Australia's withdrawal of combat forces from Vietnam. Members of both 410 ACU Berri and 420 ACU Waikerie supported the Brothers in Arms Commemoration, where Riverland Vietnam Veterans Association members, including Mr. David Langdon, were recognized. Mr. Langdon received an award on behalf of the Riverland Vietnam Veterans Association from the Berri Barmera Council for hosting the 'Best Community Event 2026'. Notably, Mr. Langdon is a veteran who served with the American Combat Military Police in Vietnam, and he is pictured alongside a cadet wearing his original uniform.

42 BATTALION (COORONG) BIVOUAC

The recent Coorong Battalion Bivouac at the Murray Bridge Training Area was a great success, made possible by the dedication and hard work of staff in planning and delivering a valuable field experience for cadets. The activity provided an excellent opportunity for cadets to take their fundamental military skills out of the classroom and apply them in a practical environment.

Throughout the weekend, cadets demonstrated strong teamwork, resilience, and initiative as they worked together to complete activities and challenges in the field. The bivouac allowed them to build confidence, develop their skills, and gain a deeper understanding of operating in an outfield setting.

The Brigade extends its appreciation to all staff who supported the activity and ensured a safe, well-run, and engaging experience for all involved.

Congratulations to Coorong Battalion on a highly successful bivouac, and well done to all cadets for their effort, teamwork, and commitment.
