stands for two things; Mentoring.And.Development.Experience through Music.Arts.Dance.Extravaganza
Music.Arts.Dance.Extravaganza is the event element of Local M.A.D.E. that helps to provide promotion, presentation, sound, lighting, stage and production infrastructure for emerging performers and artists. The events incorporate performers from every aspect of the community, starting with the very
young, and give them a chance to gain stage experience and to showcase their talent. These family and youth oriented events are drug and alcohol free. Entry cost is kept at a affordable minimum to make these events easily available to as broad a spectrum of the community as possible. Funding from the government and local business sponsorship is used to help pay for these events. Mentoring.and.Development.Experience is the education and participation element of Local M.A.D.E. that facilitates workshops and encourages community connectedness. Workshops and master classes for dance, arts, music and production are part of the ongoing Local M.A.D.E. These workshops bring experienced (sometimes international) and local emerging artists together and are incorporated into Local M.A.D.E. Experienced and headlining artists, which may be from out of town, are used to attract a crowd for the emerging artists and to give the locals a chance to see for themselves a possible next level of expression in their chosen field. These aims and objectives may be modified and added to as the organisation and supporting community requires.
