Did you know weve been supporting students since 2019
I just had a memory flashback and this was what we had when we had our 1st lot of students in 2019
Wow has it grown and its only grown because of all of you who donate and support us
This shows you the power of community and also it shows how an idea can grow to something big that makes an impact on so many lives
If theres anyone out there thinking they'd like to do something like this where they live I can help , the 1st thing you need is just wanting to help others

Channel 9 have done some incredible interviews with us over the years and weve been very blessed with the connection

ABC Brisbane ABC Brisbane has been one of our biggest supporters since 2020 !!
Yes that long
They've had me on the radio so many times and they done so much to support me
Back in 2021 they awarded me as their ABC Community champion and I also received the Peoples ChoiceAward .
In 2024 they supported us so much when the Storage King fire happened, they did a massive donation drive for us to help us rebuild . They collected all our mail donations and even kept them there until we had space . Their foyer became a display or dress racks for donations and they had a QR code with links to our story
I couldn't of asked for a better network of support. They also check in with me often to see if we need anything
I truly am super grateful to have such fantastic people helping us and joining us to make sure no one misses out
The amazing Craig Zonca & Loretta Ryan were the first interview I did Monday morning when the news was announced and I could not of been more thrilled to share the news with them
It was like chatting to 2 friends 🧡
Also the producer Holly was absolutely beautiful to me too

What a great village we have

I am super grateful that the media has supported what we do for years now and they really helped us back in 2024 with the big fire at our storage unit

Have you ever heard of The Gown Lounge ?
Its run by the most beautiful lady who fully supports what we do here at Formally Ever After Qld
Terese is just one of the really awesome people ive met since running this program
Terese runs a small business but a few times a year she sends me boxes of her stock to help our students
And in return ( shes never asked for this to be done ) i like to post about her and her small business so people who follow my page and have events to go to can give her back the support she gives us , by purchasing a dress off her 🧡

I get many messages from women in our communities wanting to know where they can buy a gown and I have a list of lots of great people and Terese is one of them 🧡
Most women buy their gowns then donate them to us after , how cool is that !!

Ill be sharing about some fantastic formal and bridal places who support Formally Ever After Qld over the next few weeks also

Yesterday was another big day for us 🧡
It was my day off my support worker job to see groups
We had 2 groups in Yesterday then we headed off to the Logan City Special School expo
We had a stall at the Expo to chat to parents about how we can help their young people who are graduating
Jaylee comes to all the Expos with me and shes a great help with setting up and talking to people
We also had the lovely Savannah and Katarina come along as ' living mannequins ' to help showcase what we do . It just added a little talking point for the afternoon .
We saw many of our friends and supporters of Formally Ever After Qld Inc. there , including Cameron Dick MP . Cameron has been a huge supporter since we started plus accepts donations at his office for us .

We are happy to attend schools or events to do stalls

The 2 groups we had come in were both Project Booyah graduating groups .
The first was 8 young ladies from Logan and the 2nd was 4 young men from the Gold Coast

All 12 young people loved their experience and everyone left with something , a dress , a suit or accessories for their special graduation
For many this will be their formal 🧡

Project Booyah is an initiative run by the Queensland Police Service
Project Booyah is a Queensland Police, Youth Mentoring Program that provides a 16-week community inclusive program, incorporating adventure-based learning, leadership skills, social and skill development training, decision making/problem solving exercises, resilience training, community engagement, short courses and qualifications to support identified disengaged young people. The program utilizes policing strategies and family inclusive principles to help young people aged 14-17 years make better life choices!
Their mission is To provide a Queensland Police led community inclusive mentoring program with an emphasis on empowering disconnected youth to enhance their life skills to Feel A.L.I.V.E

Ive seen all the love and my heart is bursting with it today !!
This has been such an honour .
I was a bit naive in the fact I thought I was just waking up & heading off to my job when the calls came in !
Lucky for me my clients are amazing, especially my last one who told me 'go do the interviews we can shop later , this is your day !'
Formally Ever After Qld is all of us , great humans from all over wanting the same thing and thats for no one to miss out . I truly feel so blessed and so honoured to do this program. To be a part of so many lives and to help ease burdens is something I think I was born to do 🧡 This is such an honour 🧡

Ive been holding this exciting news for a few months now and its time to share !!!
I was nominated for a Medal of the Order of Australia and can now announce that I am on the Kings Birthday 2026 Honours List today !!!
I am being awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia , an OAM !!!

This has truly blown me away
What an honour this is 🧡🧡

A big thank you to the person who nominated me , the referees who supported the nomination , to the Council for The Order of Australia and the Governor-General

Thank you to everyone of you who has made this program what it is , through supporting, donating , encouraging and loving and being the best cheer squad ever !! 🧡

This OAM isnt mine alone , this is for us all 🧡

My earliest childhood memory was at 5 years old , growing up in Woodridge, in a housing commission house , life wasn't always easy . I grew up often not feeling like I fit anywhere , I always felt like I wasnt enough .
I guess thats why I love doing Formally Ever After Qld Inc. because I can do my bit to show our young people how amazing they are , how they are enough, how their community has them 🧡
Thats why I put my heart & soul into Formally Ever After Qld and have since 2019

If you told that little girl at 5 years old , living in Woodridge, Logan , that one day shell be awarded an OAM, she wouldn't of believed that could ever happen

I am truly blown away

Athol and I have cried over this
When I got the letter I was speechless, which is tough for me to be speechless, I showed Athol and he cried and cried and told me he was so Proud of me 🧡
He is my absolute rock !!

I am so grateful that this program has given me an opportunity to do something that impacts so many , with you all right beside me 🧡

I know my adopted mumma , my gran and my dad will be looking down from heaven smiling 🧡🧡
