I look at this dress and it makes my heart so happy because imagine thinking you may not go to formal or you will, but not in the dress you dreamt of
Then you come to Formally Ever After Qld and find this amongst the other dresses
I can already hear and see the reaction

It's my favourite thing , as well as everything about our program

This is what I love
Community working together to make dreams come true for so many
Life just is so beautiful when we work together to make a difference

How stunning are they in their Formally Ever After Qld Inc. Borrowed gowns !!
These ladies really shone both at the FEA headquarters and I hear at the fashion show also 🧡
The ladies from Beyond DV took part in their annual Dress to Express event where the only rule is where whatever makes you happy

Often in dv relationships people are told what to wear , when to wear it and many other forms of control .
As a DV survivor and a fierce advocate I will always support incredible organisations like Beyond DV

22 students & individuals came to visit the FEA headquarters on Sunday to find their outfits for their formals and special events 🧡

It was such a beautiful day with students and individuals coming from all over to find their outfits

We had young people shriek with pure delight over finding their gowns .
One young lady didn't want to even really look at red and she left with a stunning red gown , that both mum & dad loved
Another young lady found the most stunning black dress to wear to 2 formal events ( i loved that )
A very special young lady got a gorgeous golden dress, slip on sparkly shoes , bag and some pretty jewellery
It went on and on , so much joy !!

We had young people create the best suit room combos . One young person went with a hot pink jacket , matching tie and wow they looked great 🩷 His mate looked absolutely 💯 too . They left wearing their formal suits 😎

I liked today that some young ladies asked me about our program and genuinely wanted to know about what we do . They told me quite a few times how much they loved the program, what we do and how grateful they were. I was telling the girls how I've been working hard with our community to show everyone the being kind to each other is free .
There is nothing more rewarding then bringing love , hope and joy to others
Caring about our community is huge ,it creates this fabulous ripple that is never ending

For any locals , I also had a very special visitor, Aunty Robyn came out to get a special gown for the upcoming Mayors Charity Ball , hosted by City of Logan Charitable Trust . She wanted some sparkle and she got it . Huge honour for me to loan a dress to someone who does so much in our community 🧡🧡

Dress to Express is about expressing who you are , dressing how you want , being in control of what you wear

The event is a very special event where you wear exactly what you want and feel great in . The event highlights that many people in our community are told what to wear and when to wear it
Everyone should be allowed to wear whatever makes them feel happy 🧡

Today has been a busy day back to reality after a holiday in sydney
First we went and joined our legendary Rotarians from Rotary Club of Loganholme at the Assorted Grains Inc skate event at Tudor Park to cook up a sausage sizzle . I absolutely love being part of Rotary and all they do in our community. We are stronger together 🧡

While I was there Athol whizzed off to see Carmen from The Wedding Sewer as she had boxes of wedding dresses and flower girl dresses for our next wedding dress giveaway .

So here we are at Storage King Australia sorting the wedding stuff and other donations

Few hours here then home to watch a movie with my almost 16 year old teen , scary how fast they grow !

If you have wedding dresses , especially plus size ones , flower girl gowns , flower bouquets , veils , odds and sods for a wedding and youd like to pass them on to us , the next few weeks is the time you need to do it 🧡

We have had a big amount of suit jackets and pants donated to us but they need a freshen up
If you are keen to lend a hand we will supply the washing liquid
All you need is a washing machine without an agitator and a clothes line ready to hang them on .
They've been stored for a bit
