Support 3, and Maisie and Mum - Lunchbox Rally 2025 are home.

After all the headaches leading up to the event, the little Matiz ran like an absolute Train, zero issues- not even a flat tyre. Not a drop of coolant or oil used.

And to think, if i hadnt picked it up, its next trip was to ‘Scrap Car removal Sydney’.

I think now it’s sorted, it’ll be sticking around for next years event.

Im so utterly utterly proud of Alicia and Miss Maisie, collectively raising (as of tonight) $6500 for the Cancer Council.

An absolutely MASSIVE thankyou to Doug Morgan-Thomas, EVERYONE who donated, sponsored, kicked the tin, came to the trivia night, Friends, Family, Acquaintances, whoever- thankyou from the bottom of our hearts.
You've made a difference- Collectively, we’ve raised nearly Half a Million Dollars purely on this Rally.

Massive thanks to Doug at Tyrepower Bathurst and others for donating Tyres and cheap/free parts to get the girls around. All up, the Mighty, 800CC Three Pot
‘Maitiz’ has done 3200 km in 8 days with half on some of Australias most iconic Dirt, with not a single issue.
*Bathurst to Broken Hill prior
*Broken Hill to Hawker
*Hawker to Arkaroola
*Arkaroola to Yunta
*Yunta back to broken Hill via a Billy Goat Track
*Broken Hill out to Silverton for the obligatory Mad Max Pics
*Silverton back to Bathurst.

In a sea of Raised Falcons, RTV Utes, Commodores and other cars, Mighty Maitiz more than held her own, and kept the Girls safe.

The girls had a magical experience, and if you’ve got a child aged from 7-15, and you want to do something you and your young’un will remember for a long, long time and make a difference at the same time, you simply can’t do better than to get out of your comfort zone, find a cheap, totally unsuitable car, and sign up for the .

My Daughter Maisie and I are taking a 1999 Daewoo Matiz into the Outback in September - as we participate in Lunchbox Rally 2025! We are raising money for the Cancer Council in honour of our family and friends who we have either lost, or are fighting. My husband...

Day 3 - Arkaroola to Yunta

Very corregated and slippery to start, Daewoo was finding it hard to track. But other than that, another stunning drive!
