Our poetry cards are now available in some of your favourite eateries around town, serving as an invitation for pause and reflection.
Our goal is to spread these poetry cards throughout Bassendean, Perth and beyond, creating a positive impact on people's lives wherever they may be.
Youโre invited to share photos of yourselves with the poetry cards, before leaving them in new locations for others to discover.
Thank you to the wonderful local wordsmiths responsible for the amazing, original poems featured in our first local poet instalment: Ava Mathews, Jess Pownall, Katie Thomas, Laura Motherway, Mystrie Monck and Nonie Jekabsons.
Your courage and generosity in sharing your poems, which we know have already resonated with others, are admirable.
Poetry is one of the purest forms of expression and it fills us with hope about who we are as a collective.
To read these authentic and personal human experiences in prose makes us feel more connected as a community. We believe it is now more important than ever to encourage pause for refection and appreciation in this current busy and increasingly digital age.
