Check out our latest post on the website. After a very hot summer, the Mallee Looper has had an uncharacteristically late emergence of moths in Victoria and South Australia.

Join our partner Friends of Mallee Conservation for a webinar on Wednesday 29 April to hear the latest research into this mysterious critter and what the March outbreak might mean.

Grey-headed flying fox are a keystone threatened species within Victoria. They are essential to forest health with their ability to pollinate and spread seeds over long distances. Unfortunately, climate change is creating more heat stress events and reduced food availability for these amazing animals. Come and learn about their fascinating ecology and how you can help them have a better future.

Laura will be at Nakunbalook Environmental and Cultural Education Centre at the Sale Botanic Gardens sharing information about flying foxes on Tuesday 20 January (7:30-9:00pm) and Wednesday 25 February (7:00-8:30pm). Book your free tickets at the link below.

Come along to Nakunbalook to hear all about the ecological history and significance of the Grey-headed flying foxes visiting our area. Ecologist...

Our intrepid equollogists have been working on this important cross-border project to monitor quoll populations in the Upper Snowy region of East Gippsland. They are working with leading zoos and geneticists to develop a captive-breeding and translocation plan for this highly threatened, carnivorous marsupial.

This project has received cornerstone funding from the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action, with a commitment of $250,000 over two years.

Rendere Environmental Trust will match donations up to $125,000 - aiming to raise a total of $250,000 in co-funding from philanthropic partners.

The Spot-tailed Quoll, the largest carnivorous marsupial on mainland Australia, once roamed from South Australia to the New South Wales coast. Today, as few as 5,000 remain in the wild. Their last stronghold lies in the remote upper Snowy River region of East Gippsland and southern NSW, in a
