Burdekin Fish Restocking Burdekin fish restocking has been a non for profit association for over 40 years. We rely solely on volunteers and members to do this.

We restock mainly Barramundai into local lagoons and dams including Burdekin Falls Dam.

We are pleased to announce that we are teaming up with our fish-stocking groups across Queensland to bring you a September fishing competition to remember.

The SIPS 25 Fishing Competition is part of our 25 years of Stocked Impoundment Permit Scheme (SIPS) celebrations. There are over 60 dams and weirs included in the SIPS scheme, giving year-round fishing experiences to anglers across the state. 🐟🎣

The Burdekin Fish Restocking group is pleased to announce the successful release of over 17,000 barra fingerlings into the Burdekin Falls Dam, with some fish measuring over 200mm.
This couldn’t have happened without the support of the SIPS program which does the heavy lifting. We appreciate the support of all members who assisted with the release.
Thank you to Peter Vincent for delivering another batch of quality fish from GFB Fisheries.
