We are delighted to share that Better Together has been nominated by the Commonwealth Bank of Australia to receive their 2026 community donation. 🎉

It is with great pleasure that we accept this generous donation from Jodie of the Atherton branch.

This donation will go directly towards purchasing equipment for our community-led groups held at the neighbourhood centre, supporting activities for all to enjoy.

A heartfelt thank you to the team at Commonwealth Bank Atherton for supporting your local community and helping us continue building a welcoming space for all. 💜💙💚

Winter has arrived, bringing clear, crisp days that make this time of year so special on the Tablelands and perfect for getting out for a warm cuppa and a chat. ☕💬

Our June calendar is filled with the regular activities you know and enjoy, providing plenty of opportunities to connect, learn, share and spend time with others in the community.

📢 Please note that there will be no Community Pantry on Wednesday 17 June. All other activities will continue as scheduled unless otherwise advised.

Whether you're joining us for a social group, a community activity or simply dropping in for a cuppa and a chat, we'd love to see you this month.

We would like to give a big thank you to the Atherton Rotary Club North Queensland Australia and their wonderful volunteers for the very generous donation of polar fleece blankets. 💜💙💚

With the winter nights temperatures dropping, these blankets will make a real difference to people in our community who are doing it tough. We know there will be many very appreciative recipients staying a little warmer this season thanks to your kindness and support.

Community generosity like this reminds us how powerful it is when people come together to care for one another. Thank you for helping us support those who need it most. 🫶

A reminder that the food outreach truck will not be operating tomorrow, Tuesday, May 26, due to unavoidable circumstances.

👨‍👩‍👧 NEW: Family Connections Playgroup

Better Together Community Support is excited to launch our new Family Connections Playgroup — a relaxed monthly catch-up for families with children under 10.

Join us on the last Monday of each month from 1–3pm on the verandah for an afternoon of connection, conversation and play in a welcoming community space.

☕ Tea, coffee and biscuits provided
🧸 Relaxed social play for children
💬 Meet other local families and carers
🥪 Feel free to bring a plate or snack to share

Due to unavoidable circumstances, the food outreach truck to Tabo and Mt Garnet will not be operating on Tuesday, May 26.
