This wet weather front is drenching and flooding our paddocks once again. But even with torrential rain, and high winds our volunteers turn up every single day to feed our residents, check fence lines and give essential medications. Now we just have to hope and pray that we can continue to find hay to purchase to keep the feed up.

The "Strict Boss"
Ever feel like someone is breathing down your neck at work? At Hunter Horse Haven, the management is very hands-on. 🥕

We’ve got plenty of "output" to manage today, but luckily, we have a highly qualified horsey supervisor ensuring that every square inch of the paddock is cleared to their exacting standards. 📋🐴

No pile left behind on this watch! Who knew p**p scooping came with such intense performance reviews?

Our Golden Girl - Grace INJURED!!
Grace suffered a severe paddock injury to the underside of her hoof, which resulted in extreme lameness and a great deal of discomfort. To manage her recovery, our vet has instructed that she be placed on a strict regimen of heavy-duty pain relief, both oral and topical, and absolute stable rest.

Our dedicated team has been working around the clock with consistent strapping and ice packs to reduce the inflammation and keep her as comfortable as possible.

Thankfully she is improving daily and will make a full recovery.
