Ginger Ninja Rescue We are a cat rescue in Adelaide rehabilitating, fostering and rehoming stray and neglected cats Foster carers are always welcomed

We are a small scale rescue who rely on a network of foster homes to house our animals until they are adopted. We mainly rescue cats and kittens from high kill pounds, strays on the street or abandoned/dumped animals. Our cats are vet checked, Vaccinated, Microchipped, Desexed, worm and flea treated before being rehomed. By doing this we are preventing our cats from having uncontrolled litters whi

ch contribute to the thousands of cats and kittens that are put to sleep in pounds every year. We are mainly based in SA however we have rescue contacts in Victoria aswell. Cats and kittens are our specialty (especially our ginger friends!) however we occasionally have dogs, puppies, rabbits, rats and birds.

Stevie is ready for adoption!

Little Stevie has taken a little while to come out of his shell, but now that he’s warmed up, he’s showing us his true personality!

He’s turned into a happy, playful little boy who is absolutely full of energy! 😻 He loves to explore and play.

Stevie may need a little patience and time to settle in, but once he feels safe and comfortable, his cheeky personality really shines through.

This sweet little boy is ready to find his forever family where he can continue to grow, play and be loved.

We would like to introduce the ringworm 5!

These babies have been rescued from a back yard with their mumma bear, who has been fondly named Melanie.

We would love help with gender neutral names for the babies please šŸ™

Hi my name is Paris!

I’ve learnt that people are safe and loving, my confidence is growing more each day. I absolutely love to eat and the way to my heart is my food bowl or a warm bed to sleep alongside you and some cat companions. I am learning more everyday that I truely do love attention.

I’d love to play with you, chat to you, carry my toys around the house to play, follow you around the house and run upto you for headbutts and pats or even a belly rub! I’m still learning how to feel safe when held so I’d prefer to come to you while I find my confidence. I am used to living alongside a toddler and love to watch him play. My foster mums cats have taught me how to accept love, how to relax and feel safe and cared for.

I’d do well in a home with another cat or multiple cats as I’m used to being around my siblings and I love to have someone to cuddle and play with aswell as having a human companion. If you give me patience I will reward you with endless love, cuddles and play.

Vaccinated, desexed, microchipped and flea and worm treated.

We're thrilled to be involved in the People First Community Lottery!

We've got some pretty big plans in the works over the next 6 months, but we need the help of our people to make them happen.

Our goal is to raise much needed funds for Ginger Ninja Animal Rescue. Our Goal? $10,000.

The community lottery gives us a much needed injection of funds to go towards the animals in our care. $10,000 can help us raise enough money to cover one month of desexing appointments OR 7 dental procedures OR much needed equipment like an incubator for our neo natal foster carers.

Our adoption fees alone do not cover the cost of raising a kitten or rehabilitating an adult for adoption.

The People First Community Lottery helps us raise much needed funds for Ginger Ninja Animal Rescue.

Tickets are just $2 and there are some fantastic prizes up for grabs.

Visit https://www.communitylottery.com.au/products/ginger-ninja-rescue to buy your tickets online now.
Every ticket directly helps the rescue!

Hi my name is Chilli. I’m a very special girl.

When I first came into care I was quite ā€œspicyā€, hence the name Chilli šŸ’šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø My foster mum has been teaching me to trust humans and I’ve made incredible progress but still looking for a quiet home.

I have learnt to love getting pats but Sometimes I also pretend like I have never met my mum before and run away, but I’m getting better everyday! I love to sleep on the bed and like to cuddle up to my foster mum before moving to the end of the bed to sleep quietly for the WHOLE night!

When I first came into care I did lots of hissing and growling and swiping. I don’t do those things anymore but when I move to my new house I might revert back to old behaviours while I learn to trust a new human- please be patient with me.

I absolutely love other cats and am good at playing and cuddling without being too overbearing. I would do much better in a house with another confident kitty to show me how to trust my new human.

I have lots of love to give but I will need time and patience. I came out of my shell when I spent lots of time with my foster because she works from home, so someone who can be home sometimes would also help!

Our newest teen mum came in to care today. Please help us name this darling girl šŸ™

Kitten season is hitting hard and fast. Please DESEX YOUR PETS AND BREAK THE CYCLE!!!

Cats can start breeding from 4-5 months of age, they will breed with their siblings, their father or the neighborhood stray, and they can get pregnant again whilst the kittens are being weaned.

Be the change, not the problem!
