Another awesome job by Ron and the Habitat for Humanity SA volunteers for long term grandparent carers at Paralowie. Over two full days the team repaired the ceilings and completely repainted the whole house. Big thanks to Dulux who supplied 80 litres of paint at no cost. This support is very much appreciated.

Thanks to the ongoing, generous support of Homes and our other valued partners, we are proud to be delivering two custom homes for families fostering children with special needs during 2025/26. Construction of Rhonda’s home in Smithfield Plains is progressing well and on track for completion in June 2026. Coming quickly after the last major milestone - installation of the roof, bricklaying is well underway. Rhonda, a long-term foster carer is committed to providing safe and secure home for her family, is our newest Affordable Homes Program partner household. This partnership reflects Habitat’s ongoing mission to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter.

We’re incredibly thankful to the two Brush with Kindness teams from Energy for completing an incredible internal and external makeover for KYW Aboriginal Corporation. Their positive attitude and sense of humour made a big difference. The first team tackled the challenging task of painting an entire house in just one day. The second team partnered with Habitat volunteers to transform the overgrown front and back gardens—a daunting job that they completed beautifully in a remarkably short time. Thanks again to@ Kennards Hire for the vehicle. Want to make an impact too? Last week, it was wonderful to have a Brush with Kindness crew from platinum partner visit Terra Firma. Their efforts led to enhanced security, along with the installation of new blinds and greenery, improving living conditions for the residents. Terra Firma offers shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness and their pets.

Brush with Kindness
Another amazing Brush with Kindness by Habitat for Humanity SA’s community volunteers in a garden clean-up for our partner beneficiary Neami. Neami supports women and children escaping domestic and family violence into safe, long-term housing. This BWK activity has made such a big difference for their client. Thanks also to Kennards Hire for generously providing the slasher at no cost. # brush with kindness

Studio Purpose Communal Area
Building on the success of Habitat for Humanity SA’s Studio Purpose project, providing much-needed accommodation for young people in Murray Bridge, new outdoor communal areas have now been completed. These include a new gazebo, paving and landscaping and BBQ provided with the generous support of fit out and construction services specialist SHAPE Australia.
