The Albany 4WD Club embarked on another great one-day trek on Sunday, this time to Boat Harbour and through some lovely coastal countryside as we made our way to Cape Riche.

We were ably led by Rene Guenther for a group of 5 cars through some pretty easy terrain but with some rough tracks that required a little guiding but for the most part didn't challenge anyone too much. The fact that it was a sunny day and we had a small school of dolphins in close to shore and further out what looked to be whales breaching and flapping their fins.

Anyway it was good day had by all and we look forward to the next trip to Coodamurrup Beach & Moore's Hut, an overnighter - May 2 - 3rd.

Well what can I say, but another great weekend with the Albany 4WD Club to the back beaches of Bremer Bay over Saturday and Sunday. Rene did a terrific job of leading the group of 5 vehicles through some stunning scenery. We had a couple of new joiners along with Josh, Mikayla and Troy, and we had Wendy along for the Saturday.

There was something for everyone and plenty of fun on the dunes on both days. We camped on Reef Beach on the Saturday evening and we were able to huddle under the awning on my car, as the rain came down and enjoy dinner with beers, wine and a questionable port.

The Sunday greeted us with fine weather and great dunes to be able to juxtapose the cars in front of some huge surf. The exuberance of youth meant that Josh was not to be denied any challenge on Fosters Beach or on the dunes behind Reef Beach, and it was good to see Mikayla give it a crack up one of the dunes. All in all it was another great fun weekend and all credit to Rene for putting together a great trip.

The next trip is Eagles Nest and Mazzoletti Beach, a day trip on Sunday September 14, and then we have our main trip of the year to the Kennedy ranges from September 26 for around 2 weeks. So if you want to have some fun and learn something come along to one of the day trips to start with.
