Edit: Unfortunately we were double booked at the venue so we've had to postpone slightly. The new date is Wednesday 30th April at 6pm at the Stirling Club
Some of you might have seen my mugshot last Tuesday in the Advertiser, or if you subscribe, behind the paywall of this online article. I have organised a meeting on Tuesday, 15th of April, at 6pm at the Stirling Club.
I will be outlining the mining aspect of the Grange Resources Southdown Project, and Richard Vogwill will speak afterward about the effects of transshipping in King George Sound. Whether you are for, or against the project, it is important that we have an open discussion within the Albany community. In my opinion, this hasn't happened yet.
I hope to see you there,
Merlyn.
A campaign against an iron ore mine set on the doorstep of the Stirling Range National Park is gaining traction, with the organiser hoping to raise awareness of the project he believes will tarnish the WA gem.
