Helping Hands Mission Op Shops Helping Hands runs 3 large Op Shops in Melbourne, but we do so much more than that! Remember when an op shop was a treasure trove? Saturday: 10am - 2pm.

Our stores fund the multiple community programs that we run to help support Victorian families in need, including our Community Pantry and Assisted Volunteer Program. We invite you to visit Helping Hands Mission Op Shops to discover the treasures that await you! Our focus is on providing affordable clothing, books, household items and furniture to the local community, so that we can continue to support those in need through emergency aid, donated goods and other support services. It’s school holidays! And we have lots of fun lined up at our McIntosh Street op shop 🙌

This week our in-store activity is biscuit decorating, and next week we’ll be making beaded bracelets again (and hosting another Ooshies Swap Meet)!

If you know beautiful women’s clothing, then you know Emerson Studios in South Yarra 🫶

Emerson Studios have recently closed their Chapel Street showroom, and owner Clare made the incredibly generous call to donate her excess stock to Helping Hands to help us raise some money.

Four pallets of clothing (all new-with-tags!) made their way over and are now on display at McIntosh Street and Preston sites 🫶

School holidays start next week, and we have some fun things planned at Airport West 🙌

Our first activity will be biscuit decorating! You’ll be able to find it inside our McIntosh Street op shop on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, from 10am til 2pm.

Bring the kids along for some fun - they can decorate a bikkie, and you can grab a bargain in-store! It’s a win-win for the whole family ☺️

There are lots of little things that happen behind the scenes in our op shops that most people probably never even think about!

One of these little things (that makes a big difference!) is that our Gaye’s and Carol’s Vintage team washes the vintage bric-a-brac before it goes out of the shop floor.

While sorting, our vintage team stack any bric-a-bracelet donations that need more than a quick wipe into this little trolley, before wheeling it across to our team kitchen where they can give everything a good scrub so it’s all nice and clean and ready to find a new home ✨
