💛 A HUGE THANK YOU FROM US! 🇰🇭

As we reflect on the past 12 months, we just want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has followed along, supported us and been part of our journey.

From attending our events and getting involved in our fundraising, to donating items for us to take with us — every single contribution made a difference. 🙏

We could not have achieved our goal of helping fund a house build without the incredible support of our family, friends, community and everyone who believed in what we were trying to achieve.

You might think this is the end… but for us, it’s really just the beginning. ❤️

The experiences we’ve shared, the people we’ve met and the stories that have touched our hearts have given Cows for Cambodia and the Cambodian people a very special place in our hearts.

We are passionate about continuing to fundraise each year to help improve the lives of Cambodian people and support the incredible work being done through Cows for Cambodia.

So, stay tuned… there’s more to come! 🇰🇭🐄

Until then, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. And please know that your donations, support and generosity have made a real and lasting difference.

We couldn’t have done it without you. 💛

Thank you! 🙏❤️

While we were on tour we were able to meet this family and see their second cow and her new calf. Since this interview her husband has since passed away making things even tougher for them. Everyone on the tour was able to support her by buying most of her stock from the shop to give to others in the village with the money going to help support the kids. We spend some time with the kids playing ball, blowing bubbles and showing them how to skip with a skipping rope.

During the rice run, another story that really hit us in the heart was meeting this beautiful 15-year-old girl.
Her mum, dad and uncle have had to move away to find work, leaving her living alone in a very basic shelter where she often feels unsafe. With her family unable to send money home, she has had to find ways to make a little money to feed herself.

Despite everything, she continues to go to school and grows vegetables to help make a living.

When we asked her about her future, she told us that she wants to become a teacher. ❤️

As you can imagine, the mums in us desperately wanted to help. Along with a bag of rice, we were able to give her some money to help in a small way.

It may not change her circumstances, but we hope it gives her a little support, a little hope, and a reminder that someone cares. ❤️

During our rice run, we met this incredible woman and her family and had the privilege of giving them a bag of rice. ❤️
She runs a small shop (it is literally just the glass cabinet you can see) in a rural farming community, working hard to support both her mother and grandmother. Most days, she is lucky to make even one sale, yet she continues to show up and do everything she can to provide for her family.

We wanted to help ease some of the pressure, so we bought out her entire supply of noodles and gave her some additional money to help her through the coming days.

We then shared the noodles with some of the local children in the community. 🥰

It’s moments like this that remind us that even a small act of kindness can make a meaningful difference. We’re so grateful to have met her and to have been able to support her in a small way. ❤️🙏

🇰🇭 Day 11 — Farewell, Cambodia ❤️
This morning we said a very sad farewell to Cambodia. What an incredible 11 days it has been, and what a privilege it has been to be part of this journey.

We’re going to miss our amazing tour mum, Julie, who has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this one of the most incredible experiences for everyone on the tour. We honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better to look after us!

A huge thank you to our wonderful tour guides, Vanna and Panha and the other Cows staff, who welcomed us with open arms from the moment we arrived and took such great care of us throughout our time here. Your kindness, knowledge and smiles made our experience even more special. ❤️

And last but certainly not least, our new tour family. 🥹 We’ve met some truly incredible people along the way and had the privilege of working alongside them to make a small but meaningful difference in the lives of some very deserving Cambodian families.

We hope this isn’t goodbye, but see you later. We’ll definitely be keeping in touch with our new friends and carrying the memories we’ve made together with us for a very long time. ❤️

Finally, we want to say THANK YOU once again to every single person who has supported us over the past 12 months. From helping us plan and fundraise to cheering us on along the way, your unwavering support has meant more than we can put into words.

We genuinely couldn’t have made the difference we did without you. 🙏❤️

Cambodia, you’ve given us memories we’ll never forget. 🇰🇭✨

Until next time… ❤️

Day 10 — Rice Run 🍚 What a day.
We started the day out in the countryside, delivering bags of rice to families in need. The people we met and the stories we heard are something that will stay with us forever.

One of the young people we were able to help was a 15-year-old girl who lives alone and makes a living selling the vegetables she grows in her garden. Another woman we met runs a small local shop, using the income to support herself, her mother and her grandmother. Hearing their stories and seeing the resilience of these families was incredibly humbling.

Then it was back to the house for a blessing and housewarming celebration. The family were so proud and happy to see us again, and absolutely ecstatic to finally be able to move into their new home tonight. 🏠❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who donated and made this possible. The house and toilet you helped build have changed the lives of this family of five. The bags of rice mean that many families won't be going to bed hungry tonight, and every small act of kindness helps ease the pressure on families who are doing their best to get by.

Today was a reminder that sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest difference.

🌏 Day 9 — A day of giving back ❤️
Today was our free day, but that didn’t stop us from getting out and about with our wonderful tuk tuk driver, Pich, and spending the day delivering donations to some amazing local organisations.

Our first stop was Helping Hands Cambodia, where we donated toothbrushes and reading glasses. They do fantastic work providing education and food to school students in rural Cambodia. 📚🪥👓

We then headed to Kokchak Health Centre, where we left toothbrushes, reading glasses and face masks for the staff to distribute to patients who need them. 🏥❤️

In the afternoon, we made our way back to Chambok Future School, where we met with some of the teachers and helped deliver an English lesson about body parts to a group of enthusiastic students. 🇬🇧📖

The students then spent some time writing short letters for one of our tour members to bring home and share with their school — a lovely way to connect the students here in Cambodia with students back home. 💌

A busy and incredibly rewarding day, and a wonderful reminder that even small donations and a little bit of time can make a difference. ❤️🇰🇭

Day 8 💛
We started the day at APOPO Landmine Rats, where we met some truly incredible rats trained to detect landmines left behind from the Vietnam War. It was amazing to learn about the important work they do to help make communities safer.

In the afternoon, we had the absolute joy of taking 45 children from a local orphanage to the . Their squeals of delight were infectious, and seeing their faces light up as they explored was a real highlight of our trip. 🐘🦁🦜

The kids were treated to lunch and ice blocks, while also having the opportunity to practise their English and learn about the important work being done to protect wildlife.

A day full of learning, laughter and plenty of happy memories. ❤️

Day 7 💛
Today started with a visit to Kampong Phluk Floating Village, where we saw how those living in the villiage live in the wet season when the villiage is flooded.

After lunch we gave away another 85L of free fuel to locals as they drove through the villiage on their motos. We then made our way to Chambok Future School, where hundreds of excited children were waiting to welcome us. We spent the afternoon getting creative with arts and crafts before serving everyone dinner. The students here come to the free school to learn English everyday after they attend their government school.

After dinner, the fun continued with plenty of playing, dancing and lots of laughter! 💃🎨🎶

Such a fun and memorable day, filled with smiles, energy and wonderful memories. ❤️
