We had the pleasure of working with the team at Wise Employment in Adelaide last week.

Our 1-day “Identity – Strengths & Values” leadership workshop provided a valuable opportunity for participants to deepen their self-awareness, explore their individual and generational strengths, and clearly define their core values.
The day was enriched through collaborative discussion and creative expression, with art based activities supporting meaningful reflection and engagement.

Thank you to everyone involved for your openness and contribution to such a thoughtful and impactful experience.

We hope to see you again soon!

We had an amazing time last week delivering the “Strength, Vision, Legacy” 1-day leadership workshop for young First Nations women.
This was truly a day to remember 🥰

We unpacked our values and our strengths, and took a deeper dive into strengths, abilities, and gifts handed down to us by our elders.

The “Tree of Life” 🌳 art activity set in as a visual representation of how our core values, strengths, and our support systems are imperative to individual and communal wellbeing.

This was an immersive day of getting to know each other and reflect, as well as come to discover the positive impacts we have on the people around us.

Along with some empowering drumming sessions to amp up the energy! 🪘 🔥

Thank you for hosting us and for all your support , , , and for supporting young mums with the crèche facility. We are so grateful for the support and collaborative approach to be able to deliver these experiences to our community.

Join us for a 1 day leadership workshop presented to you by the YWCA's First Nations Women's Leadership Program SA.

This empowering workshop is designed for young Aboriginal women to connect, reflect, and grow in a safe and supportive space.
Grounded in culture and community, the day celebrates the Strength, Vision, & Legacy of the leadership that Aboriginal women have always carried.

Through yarning, empowering drum circles, and the Tree of Life activity, we’ll explore personal stories, strengths, and the values that guide who you are and how you lead.
This workshop is about recognising the leader you already are and walking proudly in your identity.

The day includes fully catered meals and refreshments, creche support for mums with young bubs, and plenty of time to connect, yarn, and build strong relationships.

Leave feeling inspired, grounded, and empowered with clearer values, stronger confidence, and a network of deadly women alongside you.

Our Program Coordinator, Kristen Bobyk, recently visited Port Lincoln for the annual Sista 2 Sista event, celebrating and uplifting women in the community.

Kristen delivered her Drumming Leadership Workshop, guiding participants through a range of activities including drum stroke techniques, a lively call & response, drumming to the rhythm of the heart, and finishing with empowering songs everyone could play along to.
We even turned the kitchen pantry into instruments using everyday items to create a funky, upbeat rhythm!

Drumming is a powerful way to express yourself, build confidence, show leadership, and simply have fun.

Sista 2 Sista is a beautiful community event that connects women to services, showcases inspiring guest speakers, and offers a day of pampering, learning, and joy.

Such an amazing day of collaboration and empowerment.
Thank you for having us again!

A big thank you to the Footsteps Program in Port Augusta for hosting our “Strength, Vision, Legacy” one-day leadership workshop!
It was a great turn out, a perfect blend of immersive meditative yarning circle and uplifting drumming sessions.

Throughout the day, we explored our unique strengths, honoured those passed down from our ancestors, and reflected on our personal, family, and cultural values.
In the afternoon, participants created beautiful Tree of Life art pieces, and we closed the day with an empowering drumming circle that left everyone feeling inspired and connected.

Everyone had a fantastic time, truly a day to remember, I cant wait to visit again!

Thank you once again to Sista 2 Sista Regional Community Events for inviting me to be part of this year’s workshop in Ceduna — it was an absolute blast! 💥

So great to see so many women come together in one space, sharing, connecting, and stepping outside their comfort zones to try something new. 🪘

Here’s a little snapshot from my drumming workshop, where we explored the health benefits of drumming and had a whole lot of fun playing along to some empowering songs together. 🥁✨

A special shoutout to my amazing friend and former mentor — thank you for always believing in me and supporting the vision behind this program. 🙏💛
