We often get asked why art is such a big part of Little Sunshine Pledge, so we wanted to share this.

Art gives us a way to communicate without language. It’s how kids can express themselves, their feelings, and their dreams, even when words aren’t easy or available. That’s why it fits so naturally alongside our work.

This is a behind-the-scenes look at one of the sets of artwork created for LSP, showing the thought, meaning, and intention that shaped it long before it was finished.

We see this a lot in the places we support.

Gardens growing just outside the classrooms. Vegetables picked fresh. Cooked the same day.

Sustainability isn’t only about solar panels on roofs. It’s also about food grown on-site, lower running costs, and meals that are simple, fresh and healthy 🌱☀️

There’s something really special about how it all connects.

We crossed a pretty special mark. Together, the systems you’ve helped make possible have now generated over 25 megawatts of clean energy! 🌞

To put that into perspective, that’s the equivalent of powering more than 1,000,000 lightbulbs with free, green electricity 💡🍃

Behind that number are classrooms with lights on, kitchens preparing meals, and kindergartens saving money that can go back into supporting kids.

We’re grateful to be able to share work like this as part of Little Sunshine Pledge, and even more grateful for the intention artists bring into every piece. 💛

This artwork by HobbyLukis reflects how happiness isn’t fixed and it shifts as people move closer to what gives them light. Different starting points, different journeys, all heading somewhere brighter.

It feels like a meaningful way to open the year, and we’re excited to keep sharing the stories and creativity that come with it.

Watching the teachers here with the kids really stood out to us.

They’re part of the public system and rotate through different regions, but while they’re here, they take full responsibility for the kids in their care.

If a child doesn’t show up to school, they’ll walk through the mountains to their home to check in. It's not in their job description, but they just care for these kids and want them to get their education.

They help with lessons, meals, and all the everyday things that keep school running.

It’s care in action, and the kids feel it every day 💛

While visiting kindergartens in northern Vietnam, we noticed kids walking barefoot, even on days when temperatures dropped below 10°C!

Phuong didn’t want to leave it like that.

She headed to the market instead.

A few moments from Pu Lung Kindergarten 💛

From the panels going up, to the kids hanging around, laughing, and watching it all happen. These are the parts of the install we love most.

Pu Lung is tucked away in the hills of northern Vietnam, and being able to complete this installation during Christmas made it feel extra special for everyone!

Behind each one are real moments we’ve shared this past year. Kids smiling, classrooms lit up, and better futures ahead 💛

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who supported the journey through 2025 and helped make it what it was.
