Directors' Collective South Australia

DCSA is endorsed by the State Theatre Company of South Australia, Brink Productions, The Bakehouse Theatre, Urban Myth Theatre and Flinders University Drama Centre and its supporters continue to grow. It is produced by directors Shona Benson and Yasmin Gurreeboo and is modeled on the Young Vic Directors Programme in London.

DCSA provides an exciting platform for South Australian directors to share their experiences and seek advice, and encourages a sense of community and peer support across all of the South Australia’s professional theatre bodies and individuals. Through the DCSA website and social media, members can access information about workshops, discussion groups and lectures, as well as mentoring and networking opportunities etc. Members can also take advantage of special ticket offers and promotions. DCSA will also promote information on schemes, initiatives or awards that may be of interest and as appropriate to its members. Independent producers, theatre companies and writers are also encouraged to use DCSA as a way to find directors for their projects. DCSA will benefit not only the individual directors who take part, but the organisations and companies who support it and, ultimately, South Australian Theatre as a whole.
