BUCKET LIST
Don’t wait until it is too late! This is an opportunity of a life time.
Many of us would love to climb Mt Kilimanjaro so don’t keep putting it off. There are safe ways to travel to Tanzania to experience a once in a lifetime opportunity. Age is no barrier - the Tanzanian guides are amazing and you can go at your own pace… no pressure.
Don’t be put off by the Iran conflict! There are safe ways to travel.
The climb is being organised by a Team Vista supporter with a portion of funds going to our charity.
Not keen on the climb? Still plenty to see and do .. visit and swim in Hot Springs, one day safari, coffee tours on the mountain and visit the Team Vista kids of Kaloleni.

Absolutely sickening! Those innocent little ones 🙏🙏🙏

Hard to unsee this 💔 This is the graves of 160 schoolgirls killed last week when bombs hit a girl’s school in Iran during the US attacks.

Seeing these small, child-sized graves is sickening. The victims of these bombs as they continue to drop will inevitably be more innocent children, women and men - just like these young schoolgirls.

War always hits hardest on the people, innocent civilians.

While powerful men sit safely away from the bombing, dictating that the war continues, it’s the children that suffer.

Goodbye 2025. It has been a year of fantastic beginnings for Team Vista with the opening of the Audrey Priest Community Centre for the people of Kaloleni. Day time activities have begun with three entrepreneurial groups working making soap, jewelry and tailoring. The community have used the centre for weddings and funerals and every afternoon after school over 100 students come for extra tuition classes. We give them a small afternoon tea when lessons have finished. Our university students come during the holidays to work in our computer room and teacher M***a runs our first girls football team.
Holiday programs are run with the help of our uni students.
Our primary results were outstanding with 17/18 students successfully moving into secondary schools . Three of our students ( all A results in National Exams) will go to the selective Government school in Moshi. Our three doctors are now working in govt hospitals with two others studying at Medical University.
We had 15 qualify for advanced studies.
We were looking forward to holding our first Charity Dinner and silent auction. This had to ve postponed at the last minute with the death of my beautiful son Damian. Damo was my first son to travel to Tanzania and meet Team Vista staff and the Kaloleni Community.
In honour of my son we have set up a University Scholarship fund in his name to help fund students that pass their final exams with Division One.
We will hold the Charity Dinner in Damos honour July 2026.
Thank you to those that continue to support our efforts to give the children from the slums opportunities for education and a bright future.
Happy New Year
heri ya mwaka mpya!

As we continue to grieve the loss of our dear Damo, we’ve been deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support from family and friends near and far. Your kindness has meant so much to us.

Many have asked about sending flowers or making a donation. In true Damo spirit, we wanted to create something lasting that reflects his generous heart. We’ve established the Damian Frost University and Tertiary Studies Scholarship, supporting students living in extreme poverty in Moshi, Tanzania.

This legacy honours Damo’s love for others and his belief in giving people every opportunity to thrive.

We look forward to sharing stories, tears, and laughs together next Friday at 10.30am at the Camellia Chapel, Macquarie Park (corner of Delhi and Plassey Roads, North Ryde), or joining with those watching online. ❤️

With love and thanks,
The Frost Family

We are so close to completing our Community Centre … but just when we manage to raise a few more funds , someone gets critically sick and needs surgery, or a sponsor needs to pull out… we never take any kids off our lists, we try to find another sponsor or Mama Kerry comes up with the funds 😩😩
We are holding a Charity Dinner at Hornsby RSL on November 27 th to raise awareness of the Kaloleni community and the needs of our kids. Would love to fill the room! There will also be a silent auction of some beautiful Tanzanian artwork and tanzanite diamond jewellery 🙏🙏🙏

Our third entrepreneurial group is up and running in the community centre with a group of 10 enthusiastic young ladies learning tailoring. They have been learning on treadle machines but this week they have now been introduced to electric sewing machines that have been donated to Team Vista. The group meet three mornings a week and this week have been learning how to draft patterns for school shirts! This will not only teach them a trade but they will earn a living by making our school uniforms!! So proud of their achievements in such a short time 👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏

A highlight of my time in Tanzania is to hand out beautiful beanies, jumpers, blankets and teddies to the new mums and sick children of St Joseph’s hospital. I always make sure my Tanzanian son, Dr Said takes some to hand out at his hospital. He has also been visiting a nearby Maasai village with their medical outreach program and gave these gorgeous goodies out. Thank you my son 🙏🙏🙏🙏
