In 2025, the story is clearer than ever:

Last Thursday, wasn’t just another networking night in South Australia, it was a showcase of one of Australia’s most groundbreaking tech transformations.

ACS SA and PMI co-hosted an exclusive event showcasing SA Power Networks’ Field Connectivity Transformation project, the first enterprise-scale Starlink rollout in Australia this explosive collaborative event was presented to around 80 engaged guests.

The project, recognised by iTnews, Engineers Australia, and the Australian Institute of Project Management, is revolutionising field operations across 180,000 km² of South Australia by equipping crews with uninterrupted high-speed connectivity even in remote areas and during extreme weather events.

We were fortunate to hear directly from the project leaders:
Adrian Jeremiah – Enterprise Portfolio Manager, SA Power Networks
Mir Asim – Senior IT Project Manager, SA Power Networks
Mathew Nolan – Systems and Improvement Manager, SA Power Networks

The panel explored the challenges, innovations, and outcomes behind the rollout, followed by a highly interactive Q&A session with many thought provoking organic questions from attendees.

The evening closed with networking, giving members the chance to connect, share reflections, and explore opportunities to apply similar innovations within their own organisations.

On Wednesday 31 July, ACS South Australia hosted a sellout evening of professional connection at The Howling Owl — a stylish venue just off Rundle Street that set the perfect scene for meaningful networking among the local tech community.

SA Social brought together a vibrant mix of ACS members and IT professionals for an engaging, informal evening designed to foster new relationships, share ideas, and explore career opportunities.
