Hello Community,

As National Volunteer Week has now come to an end, which ran from 18–24 May 2026, we would like to acknowledge the amazing contribution all our past & current volunteers give to CIC.

Our volunteers support our clients through day care programs, Volunteer Home Visit Program, transport service to day care programs, exercise activities and shopping programs.

We would like to sincerely thank every one of you.
You all come from different life experiences, backgrounds and personalities, but you share one common goal: giving your time to support our participants and helping them age well within the community.

CIC would not be what it is today without your valuable support, dedication and kindness.

To celebrate National Volunteer Week, on 29th May 2026 at Fogolar Furlan we will hold our “Thank You Day”, with a little surprise for our volunteers to show our appreciation for everything they do.

And now… another special achievement for one of our beloved participants, who turned 85 on the 5th of May.

Good Morning Community

What a beautiful day today.
For us, it is even more special seeing our program full of smiles, with all our participants here ready to enjoy another lovely day together with friends, fresh seasonal three-course meals, social connection and activities such as bingo.

Moments like these remind us how important community and companionship are in everyday life.

For now, we leave you with some snapshots from our last Saturday 16th May 2026 outing at the lovely Lakeside Cafe at Oakden, where everyone enjoyed good food, laughs and wonderful company by the lake.

Here we are again with more and more events and programs happening at CIC… and what a beautiful journey it has been for all of us.

As you all know, our parallel outing program and Saturday program are reaching great success among our participants, creating new memories, friendships and many special moments together.

But while we enjoy all these new adventures, we never forget the heart of CIC… our main inbound day care programs, where people become like family, create strong bonds, laugh together and enjoy their time in a welcoming environment where age becomes only a number and everyone feels rejuvenated by being together.

So today we want to enhance the importance of our day-care programs:
• Mondays & Fridays at Hectorville
• Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays (fortnightly) and Saturdays at CIC at Stepney

For now, we leave you with some beautiful memories from the lovely day we spent together celebrating Mother’s Day week at CIC.

What we love to see the most is simply the smiles of our participants ❤️

Good Morning Community

What a beautiful day today to go out, enjoy some fresh air and a bit of sunshine. We would like to take this moment to share with you our last two Wednesday outings, which once again were a great success among our participants.

As many of you already know, every Wednesday a group of 10 participants access the outing program through a fair rotation system. These special outings give our clients the opportunity to visit beautiful locations, enjoy a relaxing morning coffee stop in different parks and local areas, and finish the day together with lunch at venues that always offer different flavours, hospitality and experiences.

All of this happens while our regular day care program continues as normal at the CIC venue.

Now, with no more words but with facts and smiles, here is where our adventures took us recently:

6 May 2026
• Morning coffee stop at Glenelg
• Lunch at the Holdfast Hotel

13 May 2026
• Visit to Port Elliot
• Stop at the Willunga Rose Garden before arrival
• Lunch at Hotel Port Elliot

These days are not only about visiting places, but about friendship, laughter, connection and creating beautiful memories together.

Good evening to our Community following our journeys together with our clients.

Today we would like to share with you another beautiful milestone for one of our beloved clients, who recently turned more than 90 years old... but we won’t reveal the exact age 😊
Her energy, bright personality and beautiful soul truly do not give any clue, and many of you would be surprised to guess it.

Our lovely Luciana enjoyed a double celebration with us at CIC on the 29th of April and again on the 1st of May, surrounded by friendship, laughter and community spirit.

We would like to sincerely thank Luciana and her family for their generosity, kindness and big hearts in making these celebrations so memorable for everyone who attended.

Happy Birthday Luciana, and thank you for being such a special part of our CIC family.

Hello Community

Here we are with heaps of new events already passed and many more upcoming.

As many of you already know, CIC runs programs from Monday to Saturday, including:

Day Care programs on a weekly basis
Volunteer-based social in-home visits
Weekly Wednesday outings
Fortnightly Saturday outings

Today we would like to focus and share with you the beautiful group that is becoming our Saturday outing family.

In April, we had the pleasure of spending a wonderful day together at Beerenberg Farm.
It was a lovely outing filled with laughter, friendship, community spirit and, of course, a very tasty lunch.

Seeing so many people enjoying each other’s company, creating new friendships and sharing special moments together is what CIC is all about. These outings are not only about visiting beautiful places, but also about helping people stay connected, active and part of the community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on the day and helped make it such a memorable experience.
We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did, and we look forward to sharing many more adventures together.

Happy 100th Birthday Michelina

Last Monday 4th of May, one of our beloved CIC participants, Michelina, celebrated a truly special milestone — her 100th Birthday.

In view of Mother’s Day approaching, we would also like to recognise and congratulate Michelina not only as a wonderful mother, but also as a strong and inspiring woman.

Her life journey, and the beautiful way she blew out her candles surrounded by love, reminds all of us that even when life has ups and downs, it is important to continue forward with a smile, love and strength.

Thank you Michelina to be part of the CIC family for more than 20 years and for choosing CIC as your community.
We are very proud of you and grateful to share this special moment with you.

From all of us at CIC, we wish you continued health, happiness and many more beautiful moments surrounded by your family and friends.
