EVERY LEAF TELLS A STORY

This month, Minister for Child Protection Alice Rolls MP - Member for Unley met with Reily CEO Nadia Bergineti and had the opportunity to see our beloved Reily Tree.

It isn't just a tree.
Every leaf represents a child and a family.

Green leaves represent a child who Reily has supported on their reunification journey in 2026.

Aboriginal-designed leaves proudly recognise children who identify as Aboriginal.

Gold leaves represent all reunifications supported in previous years and these stories remain part of Reily's story.

Maple leaves represent children whose families Reily has supported through early intervention to help them remain safely at home and prevent entry into care.

Behind every leaf is a parent, a child and a story of determination, change and hope.

It was a powerful opportunity to show Minister Rolls what these outcomes look like beyond statistics and why listening to the direct experience of parents through the Direct Experience Group matters.

08/07/2026

This Naidoc South Australia Week, The Reily Foundation proudly celebrates the strength, resilience and enduring cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

As we mark 50 years of NAIDOC, we honour the legacy of those who have led the way, recognise the strength of communities today, and celebrate the next generation of First Nations leaders who continue to shape a stronger future.

At The Reily Foundation, we are committed to listening, learning and working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in ways that are culturally safe, respectful and informed by lived experience. We recognise that lasting change is built through genuine partnership and by valuing the voices, knowledge and leadership of First Nations peoples.

This week is an opportunity for all Australians to celebrate the world's oldest continuing cultures, reflect on our shared journey towards reconciliation, and commit to building a more equitable future for children, families and communities.
