πΎ If you've adopted a cat from us, fostered for us, or had us help with a cat in your street, you've seen first-hand what Hisses to Purrs does. If you've ever met us at a market, then you know how much effort we put into fundraising in our spare time. It's the last few weeks of the financial year, and we're asking for something we don't often ask for: your help to keep going.
We rescue street cats from around the southern suburbs. Within our 25 minute boundary, we've already rehomed 70 cats and kittens so far this year. They're cats who'd otherwise be left to fend for themselves, breed out of control, struggle and ultimately die cold and alone. Every cat we take in is one less adding to an already overwhelming unowned cat population in our area. π±
It's a small team (never more than five of us, and right now it's just three of us with two foster homes), but in just over five years we've managed to rehome more than 700 cats. π Every one of those cats has a story, and a lot of those stories involve people like you. That's only possible because people chip in when we ask, and right now, we're asking.

We know feeds are flooded with EOFY appeals right now, and we know times are tough for everyone. We don't usually do EOFY posts like this. In fact, this is the first time we ever have. We wouldn't be asking if we weren't struggling and needing our community to have our backs.
Behind every one of those 700+ cats π is a foster home, food, litter, vet visits, and a lot of late nights from three people fitting this in around everything else in their lives.
If you're able to help us get through to the new financial year, we'd be so grateful.
π From Alicia, Glen, Mardi and some of our new intakes (Leeloo, Bo and Luke), thank you for your support. Your generosity is what keeps us able to say yes. β€οΈ
If you're not in a position to donate right now, that's okay too. Sharing this with your friends and family who might be able to help means just as much to us. π£ And if you don't already follow Hisses to Purrs, hitting follow means more local people see it next time we need a hand, whether that's a donation, a temporary foster home, or a cat that needs a furever home.
