Today marks another huge milestone for our brave boy, Xave.

He has officially completed
17 out of 17 radiation treatments🎉
Day 21 of 21 of chemo

After everything he's endured to get to this point, these are numbers we are incredibly grateful to be celebrating.

These past few weeks have been relentless.

Our days have started before sunrise
hyperbaric treatment at 6am
Radiation
followed by Oncotherm therapy with our naturopath before heading off to school

It's been physically and emotionally exhausting, but Xave has faced every single day with courage and determination.

Now we move into a 7 day break from chemo before we learn what comes next.

Tomorrow morning at 7am we have our meeting with the team in the US who will review everything and guide us on the next steps in Xave's treatment journey.

As always, we're feeling a mix of relief, hope, nerves, and gratitude.
Every completed treatment is a step forward, and we couldn't have made it this far without the love, support, prayers, and encouragement from our incredible village.

For today, we're celebrating:

✔️ 17/17 Radiation completed
✔️ 21/21 Days of chemo completed
✔️ One very brave little boy who continues to inspire us every single day

Tomorrow brings answers, and hopefully the next chapter in getting Xave where he needs to be.

One day at a time. One treatment at a time. One victory at a time. 💙

Today I read a post from Professor Richard Scolyer AO - My Uncertain Path that stopped me in my tracks.

I had the privilege of meeting Richard at the Cancer Summit at Parliament House, where I was invited to share Xave’s story. As a parent navigating the relentless world of childhood cancer, you meet many incredible people along the way, but Richard was someone truly special.

When I met him, he wrapped me in a hug. It was such a simple gesture, but one I’ll never forget.
I spend so much of my life trying to be strong for Xavier, for my family, and for everyone around us.
But in that moment, that hug got me. The tears came, and for a second I let my guard down.

Richard had a way of making people feel seen. Despite everything he was facing, he radiated kindness, humility, courage and hope.

He listened. He cared. He understood.

Reading his words today, my heart breaks for his beautiful family, friends, colleagues and the countless people whose lives he has touched.

Yet even in his farewell, he continues to teach us. To choose love. To cherish relationships. To keep pushing forward with purpose and compassion.

Richard, thank you for the work you have done, the lives you have changed, and the hope you have given to so many families facing cancer. Thank you for that hug when I needed it most.

Australia is better because of you, and your legacy will live on far beyond these words.

Last Friday at Xave’s review, his red blood cell count was 104.

His doctor explained that if it dropped to 100 or below, he would need a blood transfusion.

This week, we increased his hyperbaric sessions and he also restarted Oncotherm treatment.

I’m so grateful to share that today his red blood cell count has risen to 108, meaning no blood transfusion is needed right now. 🙏

I truly believe that supporting Xave with an integrative approach alongside his medical treatment is making a real difference. Every small win is worth celebrating. ❤️

Yesterday was something none of us will ever forget.

To everyone at the Houghton Raiders, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for wrapping your arms around our family and especially around Xave. The love, kindness and support you showed him was truly overwhelming.

A special shoutout to Sharon, Liam, Lucy and Belinda for everything you did behind the scenes and for making us feel so welcome.

To Jake, the A Grade captain, thank you for making sure Xave's experience was one he will never forget. From running out with the team to being absolutely spoilt in the VIP box, you made him feel like the most important person in the world.

And to Luke and Oliver – you boys are something truly special.
The way you have raised awareness for Xave, shared his story, and even got your school involved is incredible. Your selflessness, compassion and determination to help others is inspiring beyond words.

Yesterday reminded us just how lucky we are to be surrounded by such an amazing community. The memories you created for Xave and our family will stay with us forever.

If we've forgotten to mention anyone, please know it was never intentional. We are so incredibly grateful to every single person who played a part in making yesterday so special.
