🎯 7 out of 10 children in northern Salta live in poverty.

But numbers don’t tell the whole story.

They don’t tell you about the people who choose to start a garden with just a few seedlings and a lot of determination.

They don’t show the quiet, essential role of those who guide and accompany local families in that process.

They don’t reflect the joy of playing a violin for the first time, or the sense of identity that blooms when a girl paints her story in color.

🌱 We’re sowing the seeds of the future!
We’ve launched the program “Sowing the Future: Education, production, and nutrition in schools across the Salta Chaco region.”

Over the course of 5 months, we’ll be working in 43 rural schools across the departments of Rivadavia, Orán, and San Martín, areas facing extremely high child malnutrition rates.

Together with teachers, students, and families, we’re developing school gardens using drip irrigation systems, educational workshops, and hands-on support. More than 10,000 students will take part in this project that brings together education, health, and community development.

🤝 We’re working in partnership with the Ministry of Education of Salta (Undersecretariat of Socio-Educational Policies), the Secretariat of Indigenous Affairs, a network of donors who support all our programs, and the Kemper Foundation, which doubles every donation we receive.

❄️ We visited Juan’s greenhouse, which was heavily affected by the frost. Like him, many families in the Chaco Salteño grow food with great effort and need stronger structures to protect their work.

We are a non-profit organization working alongside Indigenous communities in northern Argentina. For over 40 years, we've supported projects focused on access to safe water, sustainable agriculture, education, and community development.

📸 These photos were taken during our latest field trip. Right now, we're assisting local farmers whose crops are at risk due to early winter frosts. Protecting their greenhouses is urgent—and vital to food security in the region.
