20 років тому у Чернівцях народився День вишиванки. Завдяки йому українці по всьому світу почали носити вишиті сорочки як знак ідентичності. Але сама традиція — значно давніша. Вона жила крізь заборони, заслання і війни.
Вишиванка була поруч у найважливіші моменти життя — від народження до прощания. Від революцій до окупації. Від українських сіл до далеких континентів. Бо вишиванка — це більше, ніж одяг. Це спадок. Маніфест свободи. І шлях до себе.
🎬 Про проєкт:
Автори фільму показують долі людей: від воїнів у полоні до полярників в Антарктиці. Від перших стібків дитячих сорочок — до останнього вбрання героїв.

✨ About the Film:
20 years ago, Vyshyvanka Day was born in Chernivtsi. Thanks to it, Ukrainians around the world began wearing embroidered shirts as a symbol of identity. But the tradition itself is much older. It survived through bans, exile, and wars.
The vyshyvanka has been present during the most important moments of life — from birth to farewell. From revolutions to occupation. From Ukrainian villages to distant continents. Because a vyshyvanka is more than clothing. It is heritage. A manifesto of freedom. And a journey to self.
🎬 About the Project:
The film tells the stories of people: from soldiers in captivity to polar researchers in Antarctica. From the very first stitches of children’s shirts — to the final garments of fallen heroes.
