📑 Our Eastern Partnership Youth Conference Report is here!

The Eastern Partnership Youth Conference, held on 12-13 May 2026 in Stockholm, Sweden brought together over 100 youth representatives, national youth councils, civil society organisations and partners from across the Eastern Partnership (EaP) region and the European Union. As a platform for dialogue, exchange and regional cooperation, the conference aimed to highlight the importance of youth civic spaces and inspire young people to become active agenda of change in their communities and beyond.

This report presents the key discussions, reflections and recommendations emerging from the conference. It reflects the perspectives and contributions of participants and aims to support continued dialogue, cooperation, and action on strengthening youth civic spaces across the Eastern Partnership region and the EU.

The conference was organised by the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum and financed by the European Commission. The event was hosted by the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and supported and implemented in cooperation with FRYSHUSET, ForumCiv, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, and the Olof Palmes Internationella Center. The agenda of the event was developed in cooperation with the National Youth Councils of the Eastern Partnership countries.

Statement by the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF) Armenian National Platform Regarding the Upcoming Parliamentary Elections in Armenia on June 7

June 4, 2026, Yerevan

The Republic of Armenia stands before a historic choice amidst severe security, democratic, and institutional challenges, as well as growing and diverse external threats. Russia's continuous policy of influence, destabilization, and interference, including political, economic, and informational tools, blackmail, and intimidation, threatens Armenia's sovereignty, democratic development, and its future of European integration.

Under these circumstances, the upcoming elections are not merely a political process, but a strategic choice concerning Armenia’s statehood, sovereignty, and democratic direction.

We, the members of the EaP CSF Armenian National Platform, call upon all political forces participating in the elections to publicly commit to the following principles:

Conducting free, fair, transparent, and competitive elections by excluding the abuse of administrative resources, violence, hate speech, vote-buying, and pressure on voters.

Advancing Armenia's European integration, including the intention to submit an application for EU membership, and revising Armenia's foreign and security policy to withdraw from the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) and the Eurasian Economic Union.

Ensuring the continuity of the peace agenda and the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani and Armenian-Turkish relations based on Armenia's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and a dignified, law-based peace.

Guaranteeing the protection of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law, including support for the development of civil society and the adoption of a comprehensive Law on Equality.
Implementing effective reforms in the justice sector to restore public trust in the judicial and law enforcement authorities.
Strengthening the fight against corruption by reinforcing the independence of anti-corruption institutions, increasing transparency, and ensuring the effective investigation of high-level corruption cases.

We also call on the citizens of Armenia to actively participate in the elections and, through their civic engagement, contribute to the strengthening of democracy, sovereignty, and accountable governance.

The future of Armenia must be built on democracy, peace, respect for human rights, sovereignty, and universal values. Political forces are duty-bound to present clear positions and public commitments to ensure a secure and dignified future for the Republic of Armenia.

Հայաստանում հունիսի 7-ին կայանալիք խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների վերաբերյալ

04 հունիսի 2026թ․, Երեւան

Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը կանգնած է պատմական ընտրության առջև՝ անվտանգային, ժողովրդավարական և ինստիտուցիոնալ լուրջ մարտահրավերների, ինչպես նաև աճող արտաքին բազմազան սպառնալիքների պայմաններում։ Ռուսաստանի շարունակական ազդեցության, ապակայունացման և միջամտության քաղաքականությունը, ներառյալ քաղաքական, տնտեսական, տեղեկատվական, շանտաժի և ահաբեկման գործիքները, սպառնում է Հայաստանի ինքնիշխանությանը, ժողովրդավարական զարգացմանը և եվրաինտեգրման ապագային։

Այս հանգամանքներում առաջիկա ընտրությունները ոչ միայն քաղաքական գործընթաց են, այլև ռազմավարական ընտրություն՝ կապված Հայաստանի պետականության, ինքնիշխանության և ժողովրդավարական ուղղության հետ։ Մենք՝ ԱլԳ ՔՀՖ Հայաստանի ազգային պլատֆորմի անդամներս, կոչ ենք անում ընտրություններին մասնակցող բոլոր քաղաքական ուժերին հրապարակայնորեն հանձն առնել հետևյալ սկզբունքները.

1. Ազատ, արդար, թափանցիկ և մրցակցային ընտրությունների անցկացում՝ բացառելով վարչական ռեսուրսների չարաշահումը, բռնությունը, ատելության խոսքը, ընտրակաշառքը և ընտրողների նկատմամբ ճնշումները։

2. Հայաստանի եվրոպական ինտեգրման առաջմղում, ներառյալ ԵՄ անդամակցության հայտ ներկայացնելու մտադրությունը և Հայաստանի արտաքին ու անվտանգային քաղաքականության վերանայումը՝ ուղղված ՀԱՊԿ-ից և Եվրասիական տնտեսական միությունից դուրս գալուն։

3. Խաղաղության օրակարգի շարունակականության ապահովում և հայ-ադրբեջանական ու հայ-թուրքական հարաբերությունների կարգավորում՝ հիմնված Հայաստանի ինքնիշխանության, տարածքային ամբողջականության և արժանապատիվ, իրավահեն խաղաղության վրա։

4. Ժողովրդավարության, մարդու իրավունքների և օրենքի գերակայության պաշտպանության երաշխավորում, ներառյալ աջակցությունը քաղաքացիական հասարակության զարգացմանը և «Հավասարության մասին» լիարժեք օրենքի ընդունումը։

5. Արդարադատության ոլորտում արդյունավետ բարեփոխումների իրականացում՝ դատական և իրավապահ մարմինների հանդեպ հանրային վստահությունը վերականգնելու նպատակով։

6. Կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարի ուժեղացում՝ հակակոռուպցիոն հաստատությունների անկախության ամրապնդման, թափանցիկության բարձրացման և բարձրաստիճան կոռուպցիոն դեպքերի արդյունավետ քննության ապահովման միջոցով։

Մենք նաև կոչ ենք անում Հայաստանի քաղաքացիներին ակտիվորեն մասնակցել ընտրություններին և իրենց քաղաքացիական ներգրավվածությամբ նպաստել ժողովրդավարության, ինքնիշխանության և հաշվետու կառավարման ամրապնդմանը։

Հայաստանի ապագան պետք է կառուցվի ժողովրդավարության, խաղաղության, մարդու իրավունքների հանդեպ հարգանքի, ինքնիշխանության և համամարդկային արժեքների վրա։ Քաղաքական ուժերը պարտավոր են հստակ դիրքորոշումներ և հանրային պարտավորություններ ներկայացնել՝ հանուն Հայաստանի Հանրապետության անվտանգ և արժանապատիվ ապագայի։

The Armenian National Platform (ANP) of the EU Eastern Partnership (EaP) Civil Society Forum (CSF) has elected its new National Facilitator

On May 25, the EaP CSF ANP delegates convened for a meeting, during which Elen Manaseryan, President of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia, was elected as the National Facilitator for Armenia.

We congratulate the newly elected facilitator and wish her a productive and successful tenure.

‼️ Last week, the European Parliament adopted a significant resolution supporting democratic resilience in Armenia, acknowledging Armenia’s EU accession aspirations, and reaffirming support for institutional resilience, justice reform, and “Crossroads of Peace” initiative.

Against this backdrop, on 21 April 2026 in the European Parliament, the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum, together with the The German Marshall Fund of the United States and Member of the European Parliament, Miriam Lexmann, organised the event “Hybrid threats and disinformation: the role of civil society in Armenia’s elections”.
With Armenia preparing for parliamentary elections on 7 June 2026, the discussion focused on the growing risks posed by disinformation campaigns, social media manipulation, and foreign information interference aimed at influencing electoral behaviour and eroding trust in democratic institutions.
Speakers stressed the essential role of civil society in safeguarding electoral integrity through election monitoring, debunking false narratives, explaining electoral procedures to citizens, and strengthening public resilience against disinformation. The discussion also highlighted the need to strengthen cooperation between electoral bodies, law enforcement, civil society, and international partners, while expanding digital literacy and civic education efforts, particularly in vulnerable and rural communities.
