Մարտի 21-ին Հայաստանում առաջին անգամ տեղի ունեցավ Global Mentoring Walk (Գլոբալ մենթորական զբոսանք) միջազգային նախաձեռնությունը։

Կանանց միջազգային օրվա շրջանակում 19 տարի 60 երկրում կազմակերպվում է Global Mentoring Walk-ը։ Այն առաջնորդության և փորձի փոխանցման միջոցառում է, որը կազմակերպվում է Vital Voices Global Leadership Network-ի միջոցով։

Global Mentoring Walk Armenia-ին միացել էին իրենց ոլորտներում հաջողության հասած 18 մենթոր, ովքեր զբոսնեցին և փորձով կիսվեցին 36 մենթիի հետ։

Միջոցառման պաշտոնական մասը մեկնարկեց Երևանի Կինոյի տանը, որտեղից մասնակիցները մենթորական զբոսանք իրականացրին դեպի Գաֆեսճէան արվեստի պուրակ։

Զբոսանքի ողջ ընթացքում մենթորներն ու մենթիներն ունեցան բաց և ազնիվ զրույցներ կարիերայի զարգացման, բարդ որոշումների կայացման ու առաջնորդության իրական ջանքերի մասին։

On March 21, the Global Mentoring Walk, an international initiative, took place in Armenia for the first time.

For 19 years, Global Mentoring Walk has been organized across 60 countries as part of International Women’s Day. It serves as a platform for leadership and the exchange of experience, implemented through the Vital Voices Global Leadership Network.

The Armenian edition brought together 18 accomplished mentors who walked and shared their experience with 36 mentees.

The official program began at the Cinema House in Yerevan, from where participants embarked on a mentoring walk to the Cafesjian Sculpture Garden.

Throughout the walk, mentors and mentees engaged in open and honest discussions about career development, making difficult decisions, and the real costs of leadership.

Global Mentoring Walk Armenia-ի նպատակն է զարգացնել մենթորության մշակույթն ու խթանել սերնդեսերունդ փորձի ու իմաստության փոխանցումը Հայաստանում։ Մենք գիտակցում ենք, որ առաջնորդությունը նաև սոցիալական պատասխանատվություն է ստեղծելու հնարավորություններ, կիսվելու կուտակված փորձով և գիտելիքով այն մարդկանց հետո, ովքեր իրենց մասնագիտական աճի ճանապարհին են:

Այս գաղափարներն էին ընկած միջոցառման բացման հիմքում՝ ամփոփելով Global Mentoring Walk Հայաստանի էությունն ու ուղերձը։

Global Mentoring Walk Armenia’s goal is to cultivate a culture of mentorship and to promote the transfer of experience and wisdom across generations in Armenia. We recognize that leadership is also a social responsibility that involves creating opportunities and sharing accumulated knowledge and expertise with
those who are on their professional growth journey.

These ideas formed the foundation of the opening ceremony, capturing the essence and message of the Global Mentoring Walk Armenia.

Global Mentoring Walk Armenia-ի առաջին հատվածը նվիրված էր կապերի ստեղծմանը։ Այստեղ մենթորության գաղափարի շուրջ համախմբված՝ իրենց մասնագիտական ոլորտներում հաջողության հասած 18 մենթոր և իրենց մասնագիտական ապագան վստահ քայլերով կառուցող 36 մենթի հանդիպեցին Երևանի սրտում գտնվող Կինոյի տանը՝ ձևավորելու իմաստալից և արժեքավոր կապեր։

The first part of Global Mentoring Walk Armenia was dedicated to building connections. Bringing together 18 accomplished mentors from their respective fields and 36 mentees confidently shaping their professional futures, they met at the Cinema House in the heart of Yerevan to form meaningful and valuable connections.

Կայացավ առաջին Global Mentoring Walk-ը Հայաստանում։

Այն դարձավ վստահության, անկեղծ զրույցների և միմյանց քաջալերելու հարթակ՝ զարգացնելու մենթորության մշակույթը և խթանելու սերնդեսերունդ փորձի ու իմաստության փոխանցումը Հայաստանում։

Շնորհակալ ենք բոլոր մենթորներին, մասնակիցներին և գործընկերներին, ովքեր իրենց մասնակցությամբ և աջակցությամբ հնարավոր դարձրին այս նախաձեռնությունը։

Սա միայն սկիզբն է։

The first Global Mentoring Walk took place in Armenia.

It became a platform of trust, honest conversations, and mutual encouragement, advancing the culture of mentoring and fostering the exchange of experience and wisdom across generations in Armenia.

Ծանրամարտի Աշխարհի և Եվրոպայի չեմպիոն Նազիկ Ավդալյանն առաջին հայ կինն է, ով նվաճել է աշխարհի չեմպիոնի տիտղոսը։ Ներկայում նա «Նազիկ Ավդալյան» սպորտի զարգացման հիմնադրամի հիմնադիր տնօրենն է, ով իր փորձն ու արժեքներն ուղղում է հաջորդ սերնդի մարզիկների կրթությանն ու առաջընթացին:

Նազիկ Ավդալյանը ծնվել է 1986 թվականին Գյումրիում։ Նա պատմություն է կերտել՝ դառնալով առաջին հայ կինը, ով դարձել է աշխարհի չեմպիոն։ Այս պատմական հաղթանակը նա գրանցել է 2009 թվականին Հարավային Կորեայում կայացած ծանրամարտի աշխարհի առաջնությունում՝ սահմանելով 266 կգ արդյունք։

Սակայն 2011 թվականի ավտովթարը ողնաշարի կոտրվածքով պահանջեց անհապաղ գոտկային հատվածի վիրահատություն, և թվում էր թե դառնալու էր սպորտից հեռանալու ճակատագրական դրվագը։ Բայց, Նազիկը չընդունեց այս իրականությունը և ցուցաբերեց բացառիկ կամք և ուժ՝ oր ու գիշեր անդադար մարզվելով։

Հետագա հինգ տարին դարձան Նազիկի համար կյանքի ամենամեծ փորձությունը՝ և 2016 թվականին Նազիկը կատարեց անհավանական վերադարձ՝ նվաճելով Եվրոպայի ծանրամարտի առաջնության ոսկե մեդալն աշխարհի չեմպիոնի իր պատմական հաղթանակից յոթ տարի անց։

Meet Nazik Avdalyan, one of the mentors of the first-ever Global Mentoring Walk Armenia

Nazik Avdalyan, a World and European weightlifting champion, is the first Armenian woman to win a world championship title in the sport. Today, as the founding director of the “Nazik Avdalyan” Sports Development Foundation, she dedicates her experience and values to empowering the next generation of athletes to excel.

She made history by becoming the first Armenian woman to win a World Championship title. She achieved this historic victory at the 2009 World Weightlifting Championships in South Korea with a record total of 266 kg.

In 2011, a car accident caused a spinal fracture that required immediate lumbar surgery, an event that seemed destined to end her sports career. Yet Nazik refused to accept this reality, demonstrating extraordinary willpower and resilience by training tirelessly, day and night.

The following five years became the greatest trial of Nazik’s life. In 2016, she made an incredible comeback by winning the gold medal at the European Weightlifting Championships, seven years after her historic world championship victory.

Within the framework of Global Mentoring Walk Armenia, Sarkis shares his experience and vision, supporting young people in shaping their voice, upholding their values, and becoming active agents of change.

Meet Sarkis Balkhian, one of the mentors of the first-ever Global Mentoring Walk Armenia.

Sarkis Balkhian is a human rights advocate focusing on the MENA and South Caucasus regions. He is a legal and humanitarian consultant for the Gullabi Gulbenkian Foundation in NY.

Previously, Balkhian served as the Executive Director of the Armenian National Committee of America Western Region and the Executive Director of Aleppo-NGO, an Armenia based group supporting refugees from Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Syria, and Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh).

He has previously worked at the Armenian Weekly in Massachusetts and Human Rights Watch and USA for UNHCR in Washington, DC. Balkhian holds a BA in Political Science and Genocide Studies from Clark University and an MA in diplomacy and international relations from Yerevan State University.
