Anguilla Boat Racing Association- ABRA Boat racing in Anguilla is now intertwined with festivals and beach parties.

Being a big part of the Anguillian Culture, Boat race has gradually grown into our national sport.

🚨 ALBERT HUGHES MEMORIAL RACE UPDATE 🚨

As per the projected weather forecast for Sunday morning and possibly better sailing conditions, the race will now start at 11:00 AM on Sunday, June 21st at Meads Bay.

The course will take competitors along the South Side to Rendezvous Bay and back. A second lap may be sailed, subject to weather conditions and at the discretion of the Stake Men and Race Wardens.

The safety of all sailors remains our top priority, and race officials will continue to monitor conditions closely. If the weather conditions deteriorates, race will be postponed to a later date.

⚠️ BOATRACE POSTPONED ⚠️

Unfortunately, the Malliouhana Whit Monday Boatrace has been postponed for a second time.

While we understand the disappointment and excitement surrounding this event, the safety of our sailors, crews, spectators, and everyone involved must always come first. Weather and sea conditions play a major role in our sport, and we are committed to ensuring that when we race, it is done under the safest possible conditions.

We sincerely thank all participating boats, sponsors, supporters, and fans for your patience, understanding, and continued support. Your enthusiasm is what keeps our sailing tradition strong.

A new date will be announced as soon as possible.

We regret to inform the public that the Whit Monday Boat Race, scheduled for Monday, May 25, has been postponed until further notice due to inclement weather conditions.

The safety of all crews, supporters, and patrons remains our top priority.

A new date will be announced soon. We thank everyone for their understanding and continued support.

Unfortunately, not every team was able to make it to the finish line. Due to damage sustained during the race, the following boats were forced to retire:
