Since its establishment in 2014, we have tirelessly worked towards poverty alleviation, economic empowerment, educ

ation and skill development, health and well-being, gender equality, women's empowerment, agriculture and livestock, and environmental sustainability. Our goal is to improve living conditions, provide quality education and essential skills to individuals, enhance community health and well-being, achieve gender equality, improve agricultural productivity, and promote environmental sustainability. With a passionate team of over ninety-seven individuals and a strong network of partners and supporters, we strive to bring about positive change by preserving and celebrating cultural diversity and heritage, fostering social cohesion, and promoting cross-cultural understanding and respect. We ensure program effectiveness and accountability through continuous monitoring, evaluation, and data-driven approaches. Our commitment to integrity, sustainability, accountability, innovation, empowerment, advocacy, and respect for diversity guides our efforts as we address pressing challenges such as poverty alleviation, education, healthcare, environmental conservation, women's empowerment, child welfare, and sustainable development. Through innovative programs, advocacy efforts, and community engagement, Watan Development and Initiative Organization is at the forefront of driving sustainable solutions and empowering individuals to create a better future
WDIO is nationally based in Kabul and maintains field operations through five regional offices, with over ninety-seven staff members, located in Kabul, Bamiyan & Logar (Center-Region), Ghor & Herat (West-Region), Nangarhar, Laghman & Kunar (East-region), Takhar & Badakhshan (North-Region) and Kandahar (South-Region). WDIO maintains the departments of Program, Operation, Human Resources Finance, and Procurement. Each department operates according to the WDIO written policies and procedure manuals updated based on the context of the area where WDIO implementing projects.

معلم عزیز سپاسگزارم!
اسم معلم چهار حرفی و کوچک است که در عین کوچکی، بار معنایی عمیق و بزرگی را برای خود دارد، این همان اسمی است که با استفاده از آن، جهانی را می‌توان تکان داد و دگرگون کرد، معلم شخصیتی است که داستان گذشته را در حال بیان می‌کند و با این روایت، آینده را به گونه‌ای می‌سازد که هر نسل از آن بهره‌مند شود.

"م" برای معنوی بودن است، نمادی از رابطه‌ای عمیق همچون پدر و مادر، اما نه به این معنا که او فقط زحمت روزی دادن را بکشد مانند پدر، یا اینکه صرفاً پشتیبانی از رشد فرزندان را بر عهده داشته باشد، بلکه او یک فرد خاص و ویژه است که با شعله‌ای در دست خویش، در تلاش است تا با تاریکی اذهان و دل‌های خفته مقابله کند و شمع خاموشی را در چشمان تیره و درخشان روشن می‌سازد.

"ع" برای عالم بودن است، فردی بزرگ که با شجاعت و نیرومندی، فاجعه گمراهی و ضلالت را به نیستی می‌کشاند، او با شمشیر علم به میدان می‌رود، و در برابر دریایی از جهل، علم سلاحی است که با دقت و مهارت، تاریکی را از دنیای انسانی برمی‌دارد و به نور حقیقت می‌افزاید.

"ل" برای لحظاتی است که از یاد رفته و در غفلت گذشته، او می‌کوشد تا به دانش‌آموزان یاری رساند، او لحظاتی را به یاد می‌آورد که در مسیر تعلیم و تربیت ممکن است خسته یا ناامید شده باشد، اما همچنان به تلاش خود ادامه می‌دهد و امید را در دل دانش‌آموزان زنده می‌کند.

و "م" به معنای مبارزه با جهل است، همانند پرنده‌ای آزاد و رها که بر فراز آسمان وسیع پرواز می‌کند و بال‌های بزرگ و پاک خود را بدون آلایش و با سادگی به گستره دنیای معرفت توسعه می‌دهد، این پرنده همواره در جستجوی ارتفاعات نوین و افق‌های تازه است تا جهل را کنار بزند و نور علم را در جایی که تاریکی حاکم است پخش کند.

روز معلم را به شما بزرگواران صمیمانه تبریک و تهنیت عرض می‌کنم و برای شما آرزوی موفقیت، سربلندی و سلامتی را دارم، در این روز خاص، امیدوارم که تلاش‌هایتان تأثیر مثبتی بر زندگی دانش‌آموزانتان داشته باشد.
