As part of the Youth4Climate project, we use the power of art to inspire climate action beyond households.

Our activities include:
🌱 Digital climate awareness campaigns
🎨 Climate-inspired paintings and murals by 25 young women artists
🌳 Promoting tree planting, environmental conservation, biodiversity, and cleaner communities through art

Climate Awareness: Building Resilient Communities through the Youth4Climate Project

Addressing climate change begins with awareness. In Afghanistan, limited public understanding of climate-related challenges remains a significant barrier to adopting sustainable practices and strengthening community resilience.

Through the Youth4Climate project, implemented by the Asia Green Hut Organization (AGHO) in collaboration with UNDP, we are working to bridge this knowledge gap by promoting climate awareness and encouraging sustainable environmental practices.

Key facts highlighted by the project:

🌎 Afghanistan is among the world’s most polluted countries.

🌲 48% of deaths are associated with air pollution.

📢 Around 70% of households lack sufficient climate awareness.

🍃 Harmful practices such as burning plastic and poor waste management continue to worsen environmental and public health challenges.

By investing in climate education and community engagement, the Youth4Climate project aims to empower individuals to become active agents of environmental protection and sustainable development.

Green Homes Kabul | Building Sustainable Communities Through Home Gardening

The Green Homes Kabul initiative is designed to promote sustainable living and strengthen community resilience by empowering households to adopt environmentally friendly practices.

Through this initiative, we aim to:

* 🌱 Establish home gardens in 150 households.
* 🪴 Distribute plants, gardening tools, and essential materials.
* 👥 Train 25 climate activists to become community leaders and environmental advocates.
* ♻️ Promote sustainable daily practices that contribute to climate resilience and greener urban communities.

Implemented in collaboration with UNDP, Youth4Climate, and the Asia Green Hut Organization (AGHO), this initiative supports local communities in improving food security, enhancing environmental awareness, and encouraging collective climate action.
