We are excited to invite you to “Empowering OFWs with AI”, an online training organized by Project PINAI (Filipinos for AI) in collaboration with Women in AI and the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers - PIIE UAE Chapter.

This short training series is designed to help our fellow OFWs understand and use AI in a practical and simple way — especially for career growth, productivity, and digital skills.

FILIPINA LECTURER IN ABU DHABI TRAINS OFWs IN AI FOR FREE

A Filipino academic based in the UAE has founded a volunteer initiative aimed at equipping Overseas Filipino Workers with foundational knowledge and practical skills in artificial intelligence. Dr. Raiza Dimapilis, a Lecturer at the Higher Colleges of Technology in Abu Dhabi, established Project PINAI — Personal Intelligence for Filipinos in AI — in collaboration with the PIIE-UAE Chapter to promote AI awareness and digital empowerment among Filipinos in the Gulf.

Had a productive and insightful learning session last February 21, 2026 at the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai focused on UI/UX Design and Website Development & Deployment.

Our first session on UI/UX was expertly led by Sir Pedro Flores, who walked participants through practical design principles and hands-on tools such as Justinmind and Figma. The discussion highlighted the importance of user-centered design in building intuitive and engaging digital experiences.

The second session on Website Development and Deployment was delivered by Dr. Sufian Bin Idris. Participants gained valuable knowledge on building functional websites using WordPress and deploying them through InfinityFree hosting. The session provided clear, actionable steps for turning designs into live, accessible websites.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai for their valuable support in making this initiative possible.

Thank you to everyone who participated and made time to learn and grow despite busy schedules. Continuous learning like this strengthens our capability as professionals in the digital space.
