Over the past week, we've been asking a simple question: Who is a writer?

For us, the answer is not found in publication, profession, or permission.
It is found in curiosity. Attention. Imagination. The desire to make sense of ourselves and the world around us.

At Sahab, we believe writing grows through community.
Our workshops, manuscript circles, book discussions, and events bring together people from across Dubai who share a commitment to reading, writing, and conversation.

Writers are already among us.
We're simply helping them find one another.

A month ago, we arrived at Alserkal Avenue with an idea.

Today, we leave with new friendships, new conversations, new collaborations, and a deeper belief in what creative communities can become.

Over the last month, Warehouse 56 became a space for writers, artists, performers, readers, and curious strangers to gather, learn from one another, and create together.

We have hosted workshops, performances, discussions, and moments of connection that will stay with us long after this chapter closes.

Thank you to and the Blank Space initiative for the opportunity, trust, and support.

We have learned a great deal, grown as a community, and met people who have reshaped our understanding of what is possible.

To everyone who attended a workshop, shared their work, volunteered their time, performed on our stage, or simply stopped by for a conversation, thank you.

Goodbye for now, Alserkal.

We leave inspired, grateful, and excited for what comes next.
