The UN Global Compact Network UAE, in collaboration with The Climate Consultancy (TCC), hosted the Decent Work Forum at the DP World Pavilion in Expo City Dubai. The Forum brought together leaders from government, business, and sustainability to explore practical pathways for strengthening workforce systems across organizations and supply chains.
We were honored to have Hind Alowais, Director at the Permanent Committee for Human Rights preside over this important forum with a keynote address.
We also had Welcome Remarks and Opening Remarks from Ayla Bajwa, Senior VP Sustainability at DP World and Board Member of UNGC UAE and Jerome Auchere, Interim Senior Director at UNGC UAE.
The Forum featured four focused panel discussions reflecting core dimensions of workforce practices in business:
β’ Ethical Employment Standards
β’ Sustainable Procurement
β’ Health & Safety Standards
β’ Productive and Fair Incomes
Across these conversations, speakers shared practical perspectives on strengthening internal systems, engaging suppliers, and elevating workforce-related practices across operations.
Thank you to all speakers, partners, and participants for contributing to a meaningful and solutions-focused discussion.
This Forum also serves as a springboard into our upcoming Decent Work Taskforce, where participating companies will continue exploring these themes through deeper dialogue, peer learning, and practical tools.
