You cannot decide to let go, and the 3am version of trying to surrender is just white knuckling wearing a different name...

The ceremony isn’t what changes you. The fortnight after is...

There’s decent evidence psychedelics leave the brain unusually open for a stretch afterward, which means the window does the work and the window is where nobody looks.

Because what people do with an insight is tell it. And telling it feels so much like processing it that you can spend the whole open period describing the thing instead of changing anything.

If you’re on your ninth ceremony and still angry at your father, the ceremonies aren’t the missing piece.

So if you’re in that window: pick one behavior, not one realization. Small enough to do this week, specific enough that you’d know if you skipped it.

The pull you feel toward someone unavailable is recognition, not chemistry.

You know the version. One message swings the whole day. They go quiet and you’re rereading old conversations for the sentence where you lost them. It feels enormous and specific to this person, and it isn’t.

Because somewhere earlier, someone gave you love that arrived unpredictably warm, then gone, then warm again if you got something right. Your nervous system learned that shape and filed it under love, because it was the only version on offer.

So now it scans for it. And when it finds someone with that same rhythm, the recognition lands as instant intensity, and you call it a spark. It’s your system saying I know this one maybe this time it ends differently.

That’s the loop. It’s not weakness and it isn’t even really about the person in front of you.

Here’s a starting point that doesn’t require excavating your childhood: list the last three people you felt that pull toward. Write down what each one actually did not how it felt, what they did. Look for the shape they share. Most people find one rhythm repeating, and seeing it in your own handwriting takes a surprising amount of the magic out of it.

The pattern isn’t your fault, but it stops being invisible the moment you write it down.

Comment CLASS and I’ll send you the free training on working through where it started.

Three signs you’re getting better that everyone reads as something being wrong.

Your life got boring.
Nobody’s texting at 1am with a crisis, the group chat went quiet, and you keep checking your phone like bad news is supposed to be in it. Your nervous system worked doubles for years. It finally clocked off, and calm is unfamiliar long before it’s comfortable.

Small talk stopped working. You’ll hear yourself performing enthusiasm and something goes quiet mid-sentence. People read it as cold. It’s just that you stopped funding conversations that were going nowhere.

The thing you were desperate for stopped stinging. Six months ago you’d have taken it in any form. Now you think about it and feel fine and that can be unsettling, because it resembles giving up. Desperation is wanting plus fear. When the fear goes, the noise goes with it.

The tell is whether anything still lands. Real peace keeps the small pleasures sun on your face, the smell of morning. If those went quiet too, that’s not stillness, and it’s worth saying out loud to someone.

The thing that sets you off the fastest is sitting closest to something that never finished...

Because you already know the trigger by name and you can usually trace where it started, and that’s exactly where most of this work stops.

Naming it gives you a reason for the reaction, so the reaction stops feeling like a character flaw, and then it arrives again next week at the same volume anyway. So you start assuming the awareness was supposed to be enough and something in you is failing to convert it.

And you can hear it in how you handle the aftermath. You go quiet for a day, you replay what you said, and you decide privately that you’ll manage it better next time.

So the next time one lands, let the reaction do what it does, and afterwards write two things down. Where it sat in your body, and how loud it was, zero to ten. Not what set it off, you already know that part.

Understanding is not the same as clearing. The number is what you can actually work on.

Comment CLASS and I’ll send you the masterclass on what to do with a trigger once you can already name it.

The tightness in your chest has been there long enough that you stopped counting it as a symptom.

Because you learned early that some things were not safe to feel out loud, so you got very good at holding them, and holding works. You can carry a lot without anyone noticing, and that’s exactly where it stalls, because a thing being carried well is still being carried. So you start assuming you are tired from doing too much, when most of it is the holding.

And you can hear it in what you do with an empty afternoon. You find something. You’d rather reorganise the whole kitchen than sit still for an hour with nothing in your hands.

So the next time it tightens, don’t try to move it yet. Just put two things on it, where it sits and how loud it is, zero to ten. You can’t release something you haven’t named, and naming is the smallest possible version of this work.

You were never weak for holding it. Nobody showed you where to put it down.

Comment CLASS and I’ll send you the masterclass on finding the memory a feeling is attached to.

Nothing you plant takes, and you’ve spent years assuming the problem was the seed.

Because the books work, the affirmations work, the programs all do something, and that’s exactly why people stall out there. You get very good at choosing better seed, so you stop asking what it’s going into, and somewhere in there you start thinking of yourself as the one person this doesn’t work on.

And you already know the shape of the next few weeks. You’ll start properly this time, you’ll keep the notes, and around week three you’ll quietly stop mentioning it to anyone.

It works like the farmer who kept replanting. He bought better seed every year and watered longer, until a stranger knelt down, let the dirt fall through his fingers, and asked why he was planting into poisoned ground. What was in that soil was buried there long before he owned the land.

So before you start the next thing, ask one question first. Not whether the method is good. Whether anything has ever been cleared out of the ground you’re standing on.

You were never bad soil. Nobody ever showed you what was already in it.

Comment CLASS and I’ll send you the masterclass on clearing the ground before you plant anything else.

26/08/2026

Every feeling you have arrives with a second feeling stacked on top of it, and nobody has ever asked you to name the second one...

Naming what you feel works, and that’s exactly why most people stop there. You get good at saying this is anger, and you never get as far as how much you hate that it’s anger. So the first one moves through you the way it was always going to, and the second one stays, because you’re still arguing with it. So you start assuming you’re someone who can’t let anything go.

And you can hear it in the first thing that goes through your head when a flare starts. Not this week, you think, and then, quieter, they must be so tired of hearing about this.

So next time one lands, name the plain one first, out loud if you can manage it. This is anger. Then stay one beat longer and name whatever showed up about it, because the second name is the one you can actually work on.

You were never too much. You’ve been feeling everything twice.

Comment CLASS and I’ll send you the masterclass on the second feeling and where it gets cleared.

25/08/2026

You have tried a lot of things, and you can name exactly how far each one got you...

Because they all did something, and that’s the part nobody accounts for. The gratitude practice lifted the mornings, the breathwork brought you down off the spike, the forgiveness work loosened something real, and every single one of them turned the lock partway and then stopped.

So you go looking for the next one, and somewhere in there the search itself became the thing you’re doing with your life.

And you already know how you talk about the newest one. You don’t tell anyone you’ve started, not until you’re a few weeks in and reasonably sure, because you have been wrong out loud before.

So before you take on another method, do one small thing with the ones already behind you. Write down what each one actually moved, in a few words, no verdict on yourself attached. You’ll see quickly that they were working on the same layer, and that the layer underneath them was never anyone’s target.

None of them failed you. They were all doing the same job, and the job underneath was still waiting.

Comment CLASS and I’ll send you the masterclass on the layer the other methods keep turning against.
