Message to the Intellectuals of Juor Abii Community
To all the intellectuals of Juor Abii community in your respective locations,
First and foremost, I hope this message finds you in good health. I am also doing well, and I reach out to you today not as a leader but as your brother, with a humble piece of advice.
Since around 2012, our community has been consumed by internal conflict. This conflict has taken lives, destroyed relationships, and weakened the very foundation of our society. My brothers and sisters, I ask you: how long shall this continue?
How long will we remain divided, unable to see and embrace one another as one people?
What have we truly gained from this conflict, when we claim to be preparing ourselves as future leaders of Pan Bor, yet forget that charity begins at home?
Are we addressing this matter with sincerity, humility, and honesty or are we being driven by pride and anger?
My humble appeal is that we must stop fueling hatred and division. Let us not inherit problems and pass them down to the next generation. Instead, let us be the generation that breaks this cycle of pain and builds a legacy of peace.
We know that the government of Jonglei State is working tirelessly to bring peace and stability. Our brothers from Kolnyang Payam and other areas are also striving to reconcile and restore harmony for the sake of Pan Juor Abii. Yet, sadly, I continue to see divisive posts on social media that only deepen the wounds of our community. Remember these people arenot your children, nor are they projects that you can run endlessly at the expense of our people’s lives.
The lives of the citizens of Chueikeer, Pan Bor, and Jonglei State at large are far more valuable than pride, anger, or political rivalry. We must not gamble with the lives of our people.
Therefore, I call upon every intellectual of Juor Abii whether at home or in the diaspora to rise above personal interests and work toward unity, peace, and reconciliation. Let us engage
