True Story: Every other Friday I allow for 60 minutes of coffee with complete strangers. Why waste this energy as a CEO?

As a very focused CEO with my head down 90% of the time, I have to actually schedule having my head up.

Very rarely is it time wasted.

This week, over one of my “coffee with a stranger” Fridays, I met someone who didn’t fit our ICP on paper. But he mentioned he was looking for a female board members for his new company. And I instantly thought of several women in our hashtag community who are not only qualified, but would be an incredible asset to his vision.

In GLEAC - Community-as-a-Service Platform, People and AI Agents, I have turned this into a scalable model — building cross-domain conversations into upskilling programs for our clients, from ministries to multinationals. These conversations connect:

Industry veterans to emerging talent
Policymakers to entrepreneurs
Technical experts to creatives

The result? Faster innovation, richer problem-solving, and a workforce ready for jobs we can’t even define yet. In one pilot with a national skills program, this approach connected 200+ professionals across sectors in just 6 weeks — leading to 14 cross-industry projects that wouldn’t have happened otherwise.

Did you know the most AI first members in our community are Gen X (ages 45-60). Interesting right.... here's my theory around this....

Gen X is the Rosetta Stone generation.
They grew up analog, learned to code on floppy disks, and adapted to the internet, mobile, and now AI — all within one career arc.
This gives them a superpower:
They understand the old systems still in play at many companies.
They translate emerging tech to non-technical leaders.
And they know how to influence up, down, and sideways — a hallmark of mature soft skills like empathy, communication, and diplomacy.
They also tend to work quietly and relentlessly, with fewer demands for recognition than the generations before or after. This combo of humility, hunger, and history makes them ideal early AI adopters with high trust capital.

Many of us don’t realize that our relationship with money might not start with us.
It can be shaped by the financial fears, survival tactics, and limiting beliefs passed down from our mothers, grandmothers, and generations before them.

From:
“We don’t talk about money.”
“You have to work twice as hard for half as much.”
“Money doesn’t grow on trees.”

To:
Undercharging.
Avoiding investments.
Feeling guilt or anxiety when we spend—or succeed.

This isn’t just personal. It’s generational.
