๐๐ฃTHE SEARCH BEGINS FOR THE 2027 BBA๐๐ฃ
Calling all Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) worldwide! In line with the 31st Migrant Workersโ Day celebration with theme, โBayan, Bayani, Bayanihan,โ the Bagong Bayani Foundation, Inc. (BBFI), in partnership with the Department of Migrant Workers and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, now accepts nominations for the search for the 2027 Bagong Bayani Awards.
The Bagong Bayani Awards (BBA) is a biennial worldwide search for the countryโs outstanding and exemplary Land-based and Sea-based OFWs, thus setting examples for others to emulate, and for the Philippines to be proud of. Since its inception in 1984, a total of 1,738 OFWs have been recognized for their notable achievements and for adhering to existing labor migration rules and regulations. To date, the BBA has 8 award categories, which are as follows:
1. Bagong Bayani Award for Outstanding Employee
2. Bagong Bayani Award for Community and Social Service
3. Bagong Bayani Award for Culture and the Arts
4. Bagong Bayani Award for Successful Reintegration
5. Bagong Bayani Award for Heroic Act
6. Susan V. Ople Achievement Award
7. Capt. Gregorio S. Oca Achievement Award
8. Blas F. Ople Award para sa โNatatanging Bagong Bayaniโ
