A new event in town 💛

Last week the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi hosted the very first Museum Mums session and we’re so proud to be partnering with the Museum to bring this new experience to mums and families in Abu Dhabi.

Every Tuesday from 3:00–5:00pm, Museum Mums is a gentle afternoon designed to connect, learn and explore together.

Expect:
☕ Afternoon tea
🧩 Activities for 2-5 with NHM education team + Play corner for the minis
💛 Childcare with CloudNine Kids UAE
🦖 Guided museum exploration for older children with the NHM education team
✨ Weekly expert sessions for parents

Until 7 July, we’re also joined by Nadia from Nadia Szczesiak - Mindset & Parenting Coach , sharing practical parenting insights, lifestyle tips and thoughtful conversations that I think many of us need.

Because sometimes we don’t only need a playdate. We need a space to connect, discover and learn together.

One of those little details that makes a big difference when dining with little ones 💛

Finding a restaurant that truly thinks about families (and not just adding a high chair in the corner) is something we really appreciate.

As a family, we’ve been using Stokke Middle East - Official Distributor Tripp Trapp chairs at home for years (we actually have three of them 🙈) and they’ve genuinely become part of our everyday moments around the table. Breakfasts, lunches, dinners, playdough sessions… they grow with your family and make sharing meals so much easier.

So we were really happy to see them now available at Sanderson's ✨

Summer in Abu Dhabi = constantly looking for places where the whole family can move, play and stay cool!

We recently visited Abu Dhabi Summer Sports at ADNEC as a family and honestly… such a good option for summer.

There’s something for everyone, from little ones to grown-ups, and we had a really lovely time together. It feels active without being overwhelming, and with the heat outside right now, we’re always happy to find indoor options that actually work for family days.

Open daily from 6am to 1am all summer long (until August), definitely one we’ll keep coming back to.

Last week, our 22-month-old burned her feet after walking barefoot outside at midday.

She usually wears barefoot shoes, but like many toddlers… she also loves taking them off. She managed to get outside for a moment and we honestly didn’t realise how quickly the ground could burn.

Concrete, sand, grass, pavements… in summer in Abu Dhabi, they can all become incredibly hot.

When we went to see a foot specialist and surgeon at Yas Clinic, he told us he had seen another case the day before, a teenager who burned his feet walking on hot sand at the beach. And since sharing with friends, we realised this happens more often than we think.

Sharing this not for pity, shame, or fear, just as a gentle reminder to all of us (parents and grown-ups too) that summer surfaces are no joke.

The incredible part: thanks to the amazing care she received, she was back on her feet the next day!

Please take care out there, especially during the middle of the day. And if sharing this prevents one little pair of feet from getting hurt, then it’s worth posting.
