If your child is between 10 and 17, there's a fully free Government of India programme that funds and mentors their own science research project — and most of us haven’t heard about it as its less advertised.
National Children's Science Congress (NCSC), run under National Council for Science & Technology Communication (NCSTC).
Kids pick a real problem from their community — waste, water, energy, food, health, or traditional Indian knowledge systems — and solve it using the scientific method, guided by a teacher-mentor.
No participation fee. Real mentorship. The sequence in which competition runs is District → State → National level.
